Allen. The end.: It's too late for Caturday, but I had to post. I am taking my cat Jupiter to be put down Monday. She is 20 years old, does not eat, and has a tumor that is wrecking her left thigh. I want to die.

sherpa18: *Warning, wall of text*Blargh. So last Monday evening, my ISP goes down. Now that is not all that unusual, but the next morning, it's still out. Note that since I also get my phone service through them, I can't just call to complain. While I do have a prepaid cell for emergencies, I hate to waste expensive minutes on crap like this, but I finally call them Wed morning, and they tell me I cancelled my service (and don't forget to return all their equipment within 72 hours or I will be billed for it). WTF?I tell them I did not cancel my service, they insist I did. After fighting about it, I tell them fine, just restore the damn service. Which they will be happy to do. AFTER I return the equipment, schedule a new install, and pay a "new customer" deposit in addition to installation charges. Again, WTF? All you did was throw a switch to turn it off, just turn the damn thing back on.So I drive over to their regional service center, make my way past half a dozen drones with the IQ of a brick, and finally get a manager who appears to have at least half a brain. I explain the situation, he pulls up the cancellation order on his computer - which is NOT my account #, NOT my name, but IS my correct physical address. Turns out that someone whose name I can not even begin to pronounce did indeed cancel their service, but typed my building letter (same apt. #) instead of theirs. After profuse apologies, he agrees that the whole situation is not my fault, but I still have to swap out my existing modem. So next day, I drive back to bring it in (note this a good 35-40 minute trip one way), only to be told that they don't have any in stock to give me. At this point, if it was not for Caturday, I think I would have just told them to shove their service. Anyway, they agree to overnight me a new one from another location. I wait all day today, no delivery (which in my neck of the woods, can be as late as 8 PM).So a little while ago, I go out to take a walk to work off the frust ...

lilyspad: [i.imgur.com image 640x480]I'm not normally up this late. Only on the weekends that I have to work on Saturdays, because I get off work 2 hours later than I'm used to. I still wake up at the same time in the mornings though, which can be a problem.
