My problem with Philly fans is when they post a story that was already posted two links down.

Not only is this a repeat, but it's a repeat trying to set a new "loser writes the history books" standard.

That's right subby. You're not an asshole if someone else is a bigger asshole than you. The math looks like this:

a = 5  (you are an asshole degree of 5)
b = 7 (other person is a bigger degree of asshole)
if a < b then a = 0. (since you're not the biggest asshole in the room, you are the best person ever)

Just because someone died at a Giants' game doesn't mean Philly fans weren't acting like dicks. People go to sporting events for entertainment, not to be harassed. Some guy dressed at Santa deserved to have snowballs thrown at him?

I remember they used to put D batteries inside snowballs in the 70's

How many other stadiums have had to set up temporary jails and courtroom space during gameday?

Sit down Oakland....I'm looking at Philly right now.

I think most major stadiums have their own holding cells.

About half of all NFL arenas are now prison-equipped. In-house jails come standard at the stadiums
managed by SMG, one of the world's largest public facilities management companies.

"All of our NFL facilities have some form of detention," says Glenn Mon, SMG's senior vice-president
of stadiums and arenas, "though currently none has on-site judicial."

Disagree. I went to Philly in 2009 and I was wearing a Dallas Cowboys hat and I had more fun talking shiat to the Philly fans than anything. I thought they wee very cool about the whole Dallas rivalry thing and we talked smack for hours to each other in fun nature. I like a fan base who can take it as well as dish it out.

Philly fans appreciate it when you fight back, metaphorically speaking.  Just make sure you're not seated directly beneath the next level up so the cretins don't spill beer on you from above.  And if they do spill it on you, laugh at them and point out how much money they just wasted.

I dunno...how many other stadiums are in cities with attention-whore municipal judges.....(who've since turned out to be rather corruptish)

I've taken Mets fans with me to see Phillies games. It is a great spirited rivalry that rarely breaks out in the kind of venom you see between Dodgers-Giants and Yankees-Red Sox. I keep score while i watch the game There are always a few Mets die hards who do the same. We discuss scoring decisions with each other. The only thing keeping it from being a rivalry like the Sox-Yanks is the fact that usually when the Phillies are good the Mets stink and vice versa. And then there are years like this one where they BOTH suck!
