Sadly it looks like Richmond won't return.

And agree with above, the Work Outing is absolutely and brilliantly funny. The Dinner Party is a close second.

he was a one note character.  no loss.  also the work outing, while funny, has nothing on the one when the guy thinks Jen is dead.  or the window washing one.  or the "vista.  WE'RE GOING TO DIE."

you know what, there are shiatTONS of episodes funnier than the gay musical one.  don't get why people like that one so hard.

Yeah, I thought the musical itself, and Jen's boyfriend's questionable gay-ness, was the weakest part of that episode.  The highlights of it are: Roy digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole, and Moss just becoming a bartender because he's so afraid of confrontation and just goes with it.

geez guys.  the episode is known for being "the gay musical" one.  if it was a friends episode it would be CALLED "The one with the gay musical".

Yes, the episode is hilarious, and I love it, but many people tell me it is their FAVORITE and I just don't get it.  It is good, yes, but there are funnier episodes.

hell, the one when roy is trying to figure out how the sea lion exhibit burned down is funnier.

Agreed. With a very close second going to "Are we not Men". I can't recall ever laughing so much at a TV show in my entire life. Roy's reaction when the robbers climb into the car he's driving is priceless.

I'll be looking forward to this wrap up episode. I think it's for the best that there isn't going to be a full series. The last one was weaker than the earlier one's and I'd rather not see the show get stale. Linehan has a good knack for quitting while ahead. I wouldn't mind a Black Books special though.

I can understand. Everyone has their favorites. It's honestly hard for me to pick my favorite, though Work Outing is usually in contention for the top spot.. For me, it's not because of the gay musical or anything. But just how events unfold, the group splits, and then meet up at the end. Roy getting stuck in his lie, and then he winds up getting shipped off the the gay crippled group at the end. Moss running the bar. The look on Jen's face when she sees them at the after party. Then, Philip breaking down and admitting that he wanted it to work with Jen because she looked like a man and then her running off to the taxi. It's these little parts that always have me rolling.

/But, the German cannibal episode always gets me too.

I concur with this.... I also have the German one high on the list, and the "Jen is Dead" episode.   For me, the Work Outing just "layers" upon itself with how it unfolds, at a pace that few if none of the other episodes do, they just keep getting deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, until the meeting at the end when Jen sees where they ended up.

I.. dislike this show. I watched the D&D episode and it just wasn't connecting for me. They're just too naive and man-childy. Nerdy is cool, I like nerdy, it's when they're also ultra-squares that I just get annoyed.
