Unanimous, hmm?  Sounds like the Senate GOP has signaled defeat and is hoping to avert the shut down in spite of the House GOP shiatting itself in fury.

It will be quite interesting to see if the House GOP blinks. My money's on a shutdown, though. Calling it now- 3-5 days of shutdown until the House GOP caves.

Blame the Congress for refusing to actually pass a budget.

Budget? What budget? There's no budget.

History will not be kind to these times.
Neither will your children.

Based on this sentence, I thought it was only for a month..

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) filed amendments to keep Obamacare funded, remove a debt limit provision in the House GOP bill and move the cutoff government funding date from Dec. 15 to Nov. 15.

The actions of the Senate are decided, all except for how long it takes to get the bill to the House.

I've tried to find predictions at to the likelyhood of a shutdown.  Those that find it unlikely tend to base their predictions on exactly how little the GOP will get out of it, and on the negative effects it had for them.

Those that consider the likelihood high usually point out that the current crop of Teatards doesn't have much recollection or concern about the negative effects on their more moderate compatriots, and are looking to make a statement of power regardless of the effects.

If anyone has heard any recent reports on whether the Teatard position has changed, such as willingness to pass the bill with ACA funding, I'd love to hear it.  I'd also be interested in hearing how many House Republicans are anticipated to break ranks with the Tards.
