Shame Us: What? A guy said something nice about his teammate? SHOCKED

Nice would be "He's a nice guy, he always buys a round" or "He's so thoughtful, he always gives the reach around"

Calling Romo the "best quarterback in the league" may be an indication of brain damage.

My fantasy football scores say otherwise.

Right now, Romo is the best QB in the NFC East.  Like best in the whole division.

I'd be more than happy to have Romo as the QB on my team, seeing as we haven't really had one since the Saints broke ours in the NFC championship game 4 years ago.  Despite his flaws, he's still a top 10 QB, although just barely.  Meanwhile, Ponder has gone from having the worst receiving corps in the NFL to one of the best and is still only throwing for 250 years/game.

Man as a bills fan I don't like the cowboys, but hating on Romo when the boys are 2-1 with a narrow loss to a 3-0 KC team is pretty freaking stupid.

doyner: I'd take Cutler over Romo any day...

Cutler mixes mostly average play with flashes of brilliance and bouts of awful, staggering failure, often all in the same game. Cutler's failures happen erratically, but you can expect them. It's like watching a hurricane bear down on you when all the roads are already closed and all you can do is hope the damage isn't crippling, but you know it probably will be.

Romo mixes mostly great play with bouts of mediocrity and flashes of awful, mind-numbing failure, often on national TV. Romo's failures come at the most memorable, unexpected moments possible, like an earthquake that levels your house on moving day. When it's over, all you can do is stare, dumbfounded, and wonder how the hell something like this could happen.

Individual preference for one over the other really comes down to by which means you'd rather have your football dreams destroyed.

Among active QB's, Tony Romo is ranked

#5 passer rating
#4 completion percentage
#9 passing yards, and passing TD's
#6 4th quarter comebacks
#10 sack percentage (even with that terrible O-Line)

Clearly this is the worst QB in the league.

Steelers fans are terrible, not quite as bad as living in pittsburgh, but close. And your QB doesn't understand consent.

Thanks for putting it up, but nobody really cares. The kind of person who thinks Tony Romo sucks don't change their mind based on "evidence" or "information" it's based on what they saw on Sports Center after a loss.

Actually, Roy Williams seemed to be a real NFL player while playing for the Lions. Then wasn't good for the Cowboys. It was kinda like the opposite of everything in history.

But the rest is good.

Nobody is saying that he's the worst QB in the league. But saying that he's the best QB is an equally ridiculously statement.

But in fairness, it is ridiculous to proclaim him the best in the league. He's certainly above-average and doesn't deserve the guff he gets...but to put him above P. Manning or Rodgers is silly.

No idea what was wrong with Roy really. Maybe if he had come in as a WR2 or 3 he could have done ok. He just wasn't a WR1.

regardless of what delusions you have, Romo is not the best QB in the league.  Nor is he the worst.  and Eli does current suck the giant salami.

Hey, Eli Manning is really good and stuff! He has the same passer rating as Jason Campbell! Legend! He's also nearly THREE WHOLE POINTS ahead of Kyle Orton and Matt Cassel. And his "punt-recover-fumbled-punt-in-FG-range-and-settle-for-a-FG drive in the 2011 playoffs"? I mean, you can't get more clutch than that. Only the best QBs can produce that much on punts.

I don't think Tony Romo is the best QB in the league. But I will not stand for anyone even joking that Eli is better.

If you're going to pick a guy to put ahead of Romo as an actual passer, try not to pick the guy who has thrown 60 more INTs in the same time period.
