Without clicking the link, I'ma go out on a limb and guess that this bears no resemblance to fantasy football or D&D.

Anyone who thinks ff is like d&d has either played neither, or is an idiot who thinks they're clever.

I use AD. Use the d20. What's the bear's armor class? 17. (Tink tink) 17+2 strength bonus. Use the d12. (Tink tonk tink) FIRST DOWN

Adding STR to AC? What sort of demon system are you using?

I'd kinda like to see Daniel Bryan cast "magic missile" on Randy Orton at the next PPV. :P

I think that was 3 IIRC. Then again I never used it. Too busy monking and doing saving throws.

It's been a while but I don't recall ever adding STR to AC in any situation. Now, if it were a Dire Bear it would be at a -1 to AC because it is so large - you'd need a "tiny" bear to get +2 AC.

What I'm really getting at is that I'm a dork.

That may be the most in depth article I have ever read on e-fedding. Not as cut and cry as she makes it appear. There are just as many politics as the real thing.

There's fantasy pro-wrestling.  I did it for a year about three or four years ago.  They have props for things like "how many times will the signature move be used by X wrestler" or "will the mascot dog accompany the wrestler to the ring".

+2 is the modifier on the attack, was what I meant.

It's super effective!

You put all the d20s in the room in one sock and all the percentile dice in the room in a different sock, then you fight it out.

/Spoiler: The 15 or so d20s make a far more effective weapon than the single percentile someone found under the couch.

Last time I played I had a grapple barbarian (3.5) that was such a pain my DM told me he was getting close to writing a meteor into campaign just to kill him off. "At this point the sorcerer was supposed to destroy the medallion, but since your character currently has him twisted up like a pretzel while the rest of the party kicks the crap out of him this whole thing is ruined."

Heh, probably a bit of a pain as you went through the grapple rules saying to yourself "What in the FARK does this even mean?!?!"

Also, grapple auto-wins like a bastard.

That is what a barbarian is supposed to do, the one in my group is a big fan of running over and punching them in the mouth and attempting to break their jaw. Very hard to cast spell when you can't talk.

?

Is that some sorta homebrew called shot deal?  Or a grapple, pin, gag type deal?

And, after watching the grapple bot eat your casters you need to start including still and silent spell as a matter of course.

/Not that I haven't had my best laid plans blow up because of a grappler.

It's true. The rules are... somewhat vague. Especially since it can be unclear whether or not running up and hugging the ooze is a good idea. Spoiler alert: it isn't and you'll end up wearing a tent for the rest of the campaign.

Don't teleport when you're within reaching distance of a giant squid. They do not work as parachutes.

I find this e-fedding thing ridiculously complicated and overly lame-ish. Then again, I've moderated a Yahoo RP group and have done a Necromunda campaign using Lego minifigures, so I am really in no position to judge.

You get Melbournium which immediately takes over your body, forces you to forge a black sword, and kill every living thing in the world with it.

Arachnophobe: Fantasy football meets Dungeons and Dragons.

So, Blood Bowl, then?

Blood Bowl is, without a doubt, the worst game GW ever produced, and that includes Man O' War, Gorkamorka, and 3rd edition Epic.  No game should screw a player over that much.  Want to do ANYTHING?  Roll a die, there's a 1/3 (or if you're really lucky, 1/6) chance you'll lose the rest of your turn.

Even the computer game is hard to play. You spend a lot of time watching the players stand around and the ball sort of rolling around on the ground.

At the FLGS I used to work at, we had several Blood Bowl leagues, most of which were won by this one guy who was a math teacher.  His philosophy to win was play to roll the fewest number of dice as absolutely possible.
