It didn't. Hank read that book in Walt's bathroom.

What about the ricin in the cigarette?

Three Crooked Squirrels: What about the ricin in the cigarette?

Jesse is going to smoke it and then the blue meth will be tainted when Uncle Bill sends it to Mr. French in Yugoslavia.

i bet the cripple put it there to screw with him.

If only MASH could have gone out as brutally as this will, we'd still be talking about it.

Anyway, did anyone notice Walt's pants from Episode One as he was rolling his barrel of ill-gotten gains across the desert?

Walt will suddenly going to wake up on his deathbed in a hospital realizing the entire series has been nothing but a dream. He will look over and Bob Newhart will be laying there saying "I just had the weirdest dream." and Walt will say "You have no idea."

Fade to black

If he's going to wake up anywhere, it will be next to his wife from Malcom in the Middle.

That's kind of how I wanted House to end.  I wanted Hugh Laurie waking up in bed next to Stephen Fry saying, "Shiat!  We've got a show to do!"

Still no decent explanation of how Leaves of Grass ended up in Hank's bathroom

That's easy. Marie's a kleptomaniac. She boosted the book from Walt's house.

Err'body dies.

The ricin is for Lydia's kid.

I haven't seen any of it.

I see no way in which anyone could live through this 'holocaust' as Bryan put it at the Emmy's. I mean I can see several plot lines for this episode which justifiably kill every single person possibly.

I am leaning however that Elliot and Gretchen are number two targets next to Jack and crew. That seething rage Bryan so perfectly portrayed because up to that point sure he lost his life work, he has lost his family at this point including his kids (God that was a soul crushing phone call) but up to that point he still technically had his dignity from the knowledge that he was part of something magical at Grey Matter. He knew at the very least he had that, he still had his name.

And Elliot and Gretchen stole that from him, all for the purposes of shoring up stock prices and they will pay for that.

Jesse fakes his death in a meth lab explosion and then goes on the lam with this guy:

Hank walked all the way from his backyard/ pool area to Walt's bathroom.  he doesn't want to drop a deuce in his own toilet.

I just rewatched the first three episodes from the first season of Breaking Bad. And I just realized that even in the first episode, Heisenberg was always there. Walt kills someone in that first episode, he's bossing Jesse around already and Walt was fully prepared to take on what he thought were the cops closing in on the RV.

And seeing Hank in the first episode reminded me of how much of a jerk he kinds was, and that Walt Jr. seemed to admire his uncle more than his father.

2013-09-25 11:04:02 AM
Walt cooks up a batch of ricen laden blue meth and takes out half of the SW and southern Okla.

2013-09-25 11:04:28 AM
Walt and Saul are actually dead.  The vacuum repairman is Joe Black.  It's obvious with Walt blowing cold air in NH (symbolic of death) and the wedding ring falling off (a homage to Sixth Sense).  The only one who can now communicate with Walt is Walt Jr.
Also, Carol the neighbor reacts like she saw a ghost in the flash-forward, because she actually did see a ghost.

2013-09-25 11:05:07 AM
Woodworking = someone gets beaten to death with a baseball bat.

2013-09-25 11:06:02 AM
None of the 5 "lamestream" media predictions even mention Grey Matter, which got the whole ball rolling and which convinced Walt to put aside his idea of turning himself in.  I'm thinking we'll see some spattered grey matter in the finale.

2013-09-25 11:07:53 AM
They steal the ending from Reservoir Dogs, and everybody shoots the person to their left.

2013-09-25 11:08:39 AM
I'm really curious to know what happens to Walt's Barrel of Money, and indeed, the Nazi's barrels. It'll be key, I think.

Walk dies. Jesse Lives (the possibility of little Brock having no-one is just too much).

Wouldn't surprise me if Walt dies Wild Bunch style; Jesse makes it out with either the Nazi barrels, or Walt tells him of his hidden barrel and makes him promise to look after his family.

But, all Meth Nazis Must Die!

/End Shot: Huell in the hotel room, sitting next to the phone. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. Fade to Black. Phone rings. 'Huell? It's Saul'. The End.

2013-09-25 11:09:07 AM
No matter what, the series will end with Walt's death. The story is simply not over until he's dead.

2013-09-25 11:10:01 AM
Maybe Walt is going back to recruit the Nazis to take out Grey Matter? Doubtful. I'm just spit ballin' here because I feel like any conclusion that seems possible is unlikely to happen. No one's predictions ever actually happen.

Mr. Eugenides: Woodworking = someone gets beaten to death with a baseball bat.

Or a woodchipper is involved--as in the comparison to one relating to Lydia's "cootchie"

I will miss Breaking Bad when its gone, but man this finale can't come soon enough. These predictions are getting exponentially dumber by the nanosecond.

2013-09-25 11:12:32 AM
Good headline.

I vote for Walt and Jesse never meeting up again--they don't know what each other is doing.

Walt goes after Grey MAtter, since he now knows his family hates him, therefore everything he was fighting for is gone.  Walt's ego will blame Grey Matter for starting the whole meth scenario.

Jesse will poison or blow up the meth lab and take Todd & Uncle Jack to protect Brock.

Lydia will lose her blue meth supply and be in trouble with her sellers, but it won't be totally resolved.

Sky, Flynn, and the rest will just be left hanging in their misery.

- Nothing happens to Elliot/Gretchen personally. (It seems that Grey Matter was always a foil to Walt's meth ambitions)

- Walt will be punished, that much is aguaranteed fact and I think killing him will be too final and quick for him. He needs to live with all the suffering he's caused.

Fark Walt's, Jesse's, etc destinies. I'm gonna need some resolution about Huell Babineaux.

Horse shiat! When everything is said and done, we'll flash forward a year or so later and learn that Walk is now a lumberjack up in Canada

Walt has been punished.  He's lost he meth business, his money and his family.  Now he's lost his legacy at Grey Matter.  The cancer has even taken his life.  What is left to take from him?

2013-09-25 11:19:05 AM
While I have no idea how it will come about, I still predict Walt will die by being shot through the left eye.

Hank's backyard in 4.13 (or it might have been 5.4 or 5.5) looks remarkably similar to Walt's backyard in 5.8.  That started the confusion.  I think they used the same set.

There is in the manufacture depending on the method, it's why all the tweakers buy the lithium batteries.

Jessie kills himself and Todd in a lab explosion in order to protect Brock and Walt takes the ricin to protect his family in a similar fashion.

Walt Jr. dies.

If that were the case it would lift Breaking Bad into the upper echelons of stories. It's not going to happen but a wonderful idea.

Ah!  I learned something.  Need it to make hydrogen bubbles, and sodium is too violent a reaction in water.

/probably should not have googled "lithium methamphetamine manufacture" at work, though

Huell = "U" (you) in hell.

Babineaux is a corruption of "babe, I know".

Walt dies shortly after his lung cancer diagnosis and Skyler commits suicide from grief. Everything that follows are events designed by the Devil (Huell) to torture Walt and Skyler, a la Sartre's "No Exit". Skyler eventually realizes this, telling Walt "you're in Hell", to which Walt replies, "Babe, I know".

2013-09-25 11:32:23 AM
I've figured Walt dies, the cancer is going to take him soon enough anyway so it's not like a "he has to live with himself and what he's done for the rest of his life" ending works very well. But any prediction on how he dies will likely be wrong so I'm not trying,

Nick Bilton @nickbilton
Last episode of #BreakingBad is titled "Felina." Fe (Iron) Li (Lithium) Na (Sodium), Or, Blood, Meth & Tears. Also an anagram for "finale"

The ricin is for Lydia and her Estevia tea.
Walt comes back kills Jack and the gang
Disovers Jesse is still alive.
Jesse tells Walt the ashole Todd killed the mother, Walt being a father and loving Jesse Forgives him. Helps Jesse kill Todd
Jesse becomes Brocks father
Walt faces the music
Skyler gets off via Walts confession
Skyler,  Flynn and Marie all move on

Fade to black

Of course I'm probably wrong on everything except the Ricin tea. Lydia gets the Ricin

"Felina" is an anagram for "finale", and is also the feminine version of the word "feline" in Spanish. The word "Felina" can be made from these three chemical element symbols: Fe (Iron), Li (Lithium) and Na (Sodium).Vince Gilligan's exclusive tease for this episode (as seen on Talking Bad) was one word: "Woodworking".The title may be a reference to the 1959 song "El Paso" by Western music artist Marty Robbins. The song concerns an unnamed cowboy who falls in love with a woman named Faleena.
