Your first smart post. Please try to explain other farkers' motivations again, it's quite insightful.

For the record: Ted Cruz is the definition of an attention whore. His entire purpose has nothing to do with opposing to Obamacare. He just wants to shore up the primary base with something they think matters.

I still don't understand why the republicans are so afraid of health care reform.

For the GOP, it's not health care reform itself, although lots of big money is pushing this. It's just that this is their BIG ISSUE of the moment. Once ACA in place and people realize that it really is better, they'll immediately move on to something else and hope their base doesn't remember all the awful things they said were going to happen.

Similarly, if Obama built the Keystone Pipeline and the oil started flowing today, everybody would see that it didn't create 200,000 permanent high paying jobs and didn't balance the Federal Budget in one day after all. They'd quietly slink away and remove as many references to their hyperbole as possible before starting some new rant against the Libruls.

You do not like Obamacare.
SO you say.
Try it! Try it!
And you may.
Try it and you may I say.

If you will let me be,
I will try it.
You will see.

Say!
I like Obamacare!
I do!! I like them, Obama
And I will have health care in a boat!
And I will have health care with a goat...
And I will have health care in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
It's so good so good you see!

So I will have health care in a box.
And I will have health care with a fox.
And I will have health care in a house.
And I will have health care with a mouse.
And I will have health care here and there.
Say! I will have health care ANYWHERE!

I do so like
Obamacare
Thank you!
Thank you,
Obama

I do so like
Obamacare!
Thank you!
Thank you,
Obama

he can try to twist that around but the obvious allegory here I think would be more like:

ACA = green eggs and ham
Cruz = the kid who wont try the ACA
Obama = the guy assuring him it's actually a good thing

as we all know, in the story Obama is right and Cruz ends up face down in his ham.

How do these line up in his explanation anyway?
