The article mentions nothing about wearing meat print designs;

I disagree. I'd love to see that and the ensuing hilarity.

Define "worst thing"... 'cause if the lion or tiger has a line of attack, I'm just seeing chlorine for the gene pool and/or an interesting interactive exhibit.

Y'know, to teach the kids.

Not much of an enclosure if they can eat you. I think perhaps wrapping your child in zebra print might be worse.

What about that Japanese model/porn actress wearing a baby seal hat on her head by the polar bear pen?  Is that still OK?

"With the gorillas, people often come to see them in fancy dress, which is now 100% banned.

Ha ha ha ha.

Gorillas are easily offended by fashion faux pas and have been known to ask to be transferred to a tonier zoo

I would have thought that a zebra print would make a person harder to see to lions.

Maybe bad for you, but it would make for a great photo op for everyone else.

And the lionesses are real fashionistas. They won't maul you, but they will talk about how tacky you look.

That only works for zebras because they herd.  The coloration of a bunch of zebras zipping past at 30 mph makes it hard for a lion to pick out any individual animal.

In isolation, it makes you stick out like a sore thumb.

Spokeswoman Natalie Dilloway said: "Animals are getting confused when they see what looks like zebras and giraffes driving across the terrain in a 7.5 tonne truck."

Well, it can be good to confuse your cat sometimes...

The chick in TFA picture looks quite tasty.

Safari park.

Naw, probably the worst thing you could do is take a family trip to a safari park, drive into the tiger section, get out of the car to carry your crying baby to its grandmother in the second car and get mauled to death by tigers.Happened to a brilliant couple at Gunma Safari Park some years back.  Amazingly enough, the child survived.

Zebras are from Africa.

A tiger in Africa?

But it's still okay if I dress my kid up to visit the parakeets at the pet store in the mall, right?

Plenty of meat on those bones, especially the shoulders.

I remember reading once that up in Churchill Manitoba they tell kids not to dress like seals or other animals for Halloween due to the large population of polar bears that meet there every fall.
Of course why they let kids go out trick or treating around a large population of polars bears is a whole other question.

Geez we sure do revel in pushing land boundaries. At least they aren't catching mortor shells. So, they have that going for them. Which is good.

I spend a lot of time training guides in Africa and as a result have taken hundreds of game drives. It is amazing how the predators do not associate the people in open vehicles with food. I've had lions and leopards come within arms length. The only time I ever saw one react, it was a female lion who instantly became focused on the vehicle and began to approach it. I noticed she was looking at the woman in front of me who had on a fur covered hood. I mentioned it to our guide and he told her to slowly slide the hood back so it wouldn't be visible. The lion immediately relaxed.

One does not simply catch Mortor shells.

A classic, the Japanese girl with the baby seal hat at the polar bear exhibit.

Best part is the adults standing around watching and laughing at the frightened girl.
