Good for her, but I find it interesting that her body structure seems more male with breast implants.

I've seen many pictures of female bodybuilders over the years and many of them appear to have a female body structure, but not this time.

So steroids I guess?

DO NOT WANT Poster Girl: So steroids I guess?

Definitely steroids.  Women cannot build muscles like that no matter how much they work out without steroids.

Scroll down halfway in the link below this sentence to see a picture of a female power lifter who eats between 3000-4000 calories per day.

/Yes, I know she's not a "body builder," per se, but it makes the point, and I'm too lazy too search more at the moment.  Anyway, females can't bulk up in muscles like the gal in TFA.

Check out that clenis. Definitely steroids.

Can anyone say body dysmorphic syndrome?

I agree with padraig. This article is about a person who was obsessed about her body, then she changed her lifestyle and now she's obsessed about her body. She's never actually enjoyed food and her whole life revolves around enjoying her reflection.
Female athletes and strong women get a lot of flak for their bodies but it's like this. Can you're body do something cool? Run 30 miles? Destroy an opponent? Swim really fast? Change tires professionally? That's cool and big muscles are a part of that. This lady in the article never talks about what her body can do. To her and the bodybuilding world in general muscles are just gloss.

Those farking gross-looking implants female body builders get...

Ive dated women who had implants and it didnt bother me at all...they looked and felt great...but for some reason, those body builder women collectively all have the absolute WORST tit-jobs Ive ever seen.

Fire...

Kill it with.

That dude's wearing a bikini.

2013-09-25 04:22:37 AM
Shame. Without the steroids and her man-hands and Superman-jawline that comes with then, she'd actually be sorta pretty.

2013-09-25 04:28:16 AM
Given her facial bone structure has clearly radically changed and masculinised, they seem to have omitted what cocktail of steroids and hormones she's on.

I can't say that's radically safer than her previous (comparatively mild) anorexia.

2013-09-25 04:28:30 AM
I absolutely hate to do this, but... yeah, she looked more like a 'she' in the original photos. Girl is seriously messed up to swing to the opposite extreme.

Hmmm.... I'm going to have to do some research I suppose.  I was under the impression that it isn't that women can't develop muscles and bulk like men so much as they generally don't show off that kind of definition of the muscles without malnourishment or steroids.  Partly because of a slightly higher percentage of body fat in skin tissue that masks the visible definition.  I'll have to look it up again.

An old freind of mine exercised all her fat and her boobs away, so her implants were like two round raviolis on her chest. Looks kind of like that.

her arms are thicker than my legs, but she stands almost a foot shorter, so I feel ok about that.

Yikes.

"'One of them had some pictures of the female bodybuilder Negrita Jayde in it and I remember thinking how totally unattainable her figure was."

Yeah, because she died in 2009 at age 51. Even my mom who battled breast cancer TWICE made it to 54.

I wonder if she is truly happy with her body, or if she is doing the same endless reaching for "perfection" that an anorexic does. I think she missed the healthy middle ground.

The article pictures don't seem to show the classic dehydration, preparation H treatments, and bronzing some builders go through before competing, so during a competition she possibly appears more grotesque.

there are many more men like this than women. it's revolting. for some reason on my bookface feed I can see posts from the this bodybuilder guy and the most pointless 'exercise' ever. it is all about what you look like, and nothing about what you can do

I'd rub my privates against what has surely grown from her private area and that probably looks like a mini version of what I have in my pirvate area.

I think it's because they're pushing up against more muscle than a normal chest would and the skin is pulled more tightly than it would with an average female chest.

I have to agree that she's changed one extreme for another. Of course that her makeup looks like she used Marge's makeup gun doesn't help matters either. I think if she'd went for a softer and less artificial look, she might have looked better.

She eats mostly turkey, sweet potatoes and protein shake?

Why turkey though? Seems odd.
Body builders are obsessed with their food but are the worst cooks. Bland chicken and weird tasting protein shakes day after day.

Anyway, the hardest part for me in body building is the diet to get the leanness. I'm mostly trying to get some definition in the abs area but I can't stick to eating chicken and avocados all week.

Anyway, kudos to the lady for doing the body transformation she wanted. She can always go back to the normal body by not working out or training endurance (if she craves the endorphins).

For the farkers who wouldn't hit, she can adjust her training routines to become super-hittable if she wanted. Figuring out the "knobs" that adjust the body settings is a skill and she's gone to 11 on a few of them. She can always dial it back down. As a former anorexic, she can probably dial back to -11 as well.

him indoors is a gym bunny and he eats a lot of turkey. is it cos it's high in the amino acid tryptophane? that rings a bell

he's also working on his abs. he wants a six pack by the time he's 30 (11th Nov). he likes alcohol and puddings too much though so i think he's going to struggle.

Its nice to see someone with a change of lifestyle, but this is a little extreme. I layed off coffee and beer for 6 months and got healthy just by walking (went from 205 down to 180). Maybe I need to put out a new weight loss book because I frankly didn't do jack and lost weight by cutting out extras.
I eat the same as when i was a kid, only thing different was when I got diagnosed with cluster headaches the pills threw my weight over the top, I ended up cutting out the pills because my sleeping habits went back to normal and the headaches disappeared.

point is you don't need to do something extreme for a life change, just do something different.

There's zero doubt it's steroids. Women can't build muscle like that, no matter how much they work out and eat right. Plus, her obvious facial structure changes scream "steroids"

I eventually got used to eating the same bland slop day after day. Once you get into the routine you become accustomed to eating bland food. Though I still do love flavorful foods. My treat is hitting the Indian buffet every other weekend.

I lift heavy every day. I lift with a group of women who have next to know body fat and I'm pretty sure they could all bench press me. Not a one of them looks like that. They have bery defined muscles but not that large. From what my doctor told me unless you have a natural excess of testosterone a woman cannot bulk like that. Weight lifting has slimmed me from 230lbs to 170lbs in 3 months. I have no desire to ever look like that.

Can anyone actually tell if someones on roids or not (men that is)? Reason I ask because at my local gym I go to, there are a few body builders, however I wouldn't be able to define which one is on roids or not. There are some women as well that have this big "leap" when it comes to muscle mass.
