America sounds fat.

"Spin the Taco" certainly won't be taken the wrong way. Nope.

2013-09-24 08:36:19 PM
Oh, God those sound awful and I want to eat them.

Jack in the Box has been openly advertising to stoners for years now. I respect that.

Shostie: Oh, God those sound awful and I want to eat them.

This beautifully encapsulates what's going on here.

That looks good, except for the lettuce, tomatoes, and pathogenic E. coli.

But I paid good money for that E. coli!

I think I'd rather just have a diner patty melt.

2013-09-24 09:33:56 PM
Thinking of making one right now.

Yup I'm revolted and yet strangely attracted at the same time, I will have to try em after I get my blood pressure meds and defibrillator restocked.

a grilled cheese sandwich piled on top of an extravagant burger

Remember... "extravagant burger" to most fast food places means it has lettuce and tomato.

What?
Why are are these fast food chains trying to change up their menus? This is dumb.

That happened over 20 years ago. Since then, JitB is probably the cleanest, safest fast food place(I worked there 15 years ago, they were crazy about food safety).

that is just the kids menu

Friendly's did this a few years ago, a cheeseburger using two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun. I was tempted to try it, because, hell, what's not to love about that. In the end, my decision not to try it was due to my loathing of Friendly's. It damned sure wasn't out of respect for my body, as I made one at home and slept for the next 18 hours.

This sort of thing has been done for a while. My local burger joint calls it a "Vatican City." Mind you the bun is two separate grilled cheese sandwiches.

Back in the mid 90's I used to eat at the one that killed those people.  The burgers were cooked to a well done perfection every time.  Great service too.

/can eat things that would make Kwame puke

Exactly. I refuse to patronize a place that lacks vision.

From my experiences ten-some years ago, Jack in the Box is great for hangover breakfasts, not so great for anything else.

One of the local food carts in Portland, Brunchbox, has been selling the Redonkadonk Burger for years.

In addition to the usual burger ingredients and the grilled cheese sandwich "bun," it has:

A fried egg
Bacon
Ham
SPAM

Your jib, sir. The cut of it is appealing to me.
Sophomore year in school, the only time I ever saw my roommate was on Tuesdays, grilled cheese day at the dining commons. My record was 8. His record was 15.

I went to one in St. Louis a few months ago and got an ultimate cheeseburger. Half way through I bit into what felt like a tiny rock. Chipped my molar. Wish I could sue those motherfarkers but I've got no proof. No more Jack...

They've been test-marketing these as part of their Munchie Meal after 9 PM promotion around the SF Bay for the last year. Glad to hear it's expanding.

I'll just leave the menu to Burger in Santa Cruz right here...Chock full of, 'You can't be serious' goodness...

Nothing ruins a good burger more than onions and tomato. Really, who wants nightshades all up in their burger? Not this guy. Mustard and cheese only please

I thank GOD daily for Jack in the Box tacos.

I watched my son eat one of those at Friendly's (he was 19). He did the same thing - went home and hibernated.

There's no way I could eat one of those things, but it looks both horrifying and compelling at the same time. Like certain blind dates or ex-girlfriends. When you were done enjoying any of them, you'd feel both elated and disgusted. You might be able to charge admission to see someone attempt to devour any of them messily, with lots of tongue.

/if I'm going to JITB, I'll get a burger on a sourdough bun, and fries, because that's plenty.
