BraveNewCheneyWorld: Destroy the cameras. Enough people do it and they'll take them out.

OBBN: BWAHAHAHAHAHA *breathe* BWAHAHAHAHAHA/rant Sorry, but it's time for me to repeat my Florida red light ticket story because it's so farking asinine it needs to be repeated often so the whole world knows how corrupt the Florida judicial system is. So, here it goes: I received a red light ticket about a year or do ago. I went to court to fight the ticket because I was innocent. The ticket was issued to me for making a right turn on red without coming to a complete stop. That is good and all EXCEPT the law in Florida allows a right hand turn in red "providing it is safe and prudent to do so". In my case the camera took video of my "violation". The video showed me approaching the intersection and braking my vehicle to under ten miles an hour before I proceeded to make the turn. The video also shows that there was absolutely zero traffic at the intersection. It also shows that there is zero traffic entering the intersection for the remaining ten seconds of the video after I made my turn. So, what have we learned by watching the video of my "violation"? We learned that I braked to under ten miles an hour, that I observed the intersection and that there was no traffic. I then made my turn on red in what can only be termed a safe and prudent manner, just like the law says. I pleaded my case with the Magistrate. He then proved that Florida only had placed these cameras for enhanced safety of the public by saying "Guilty. You did not operate your vehicle in a safe and prudent manner for there COULD have been a car making u-turn, the fine is $264 plus court costs. Pay the clerk.". WTF Honorable Florida Magistrate?! THERE WAS NO CAR MAKING U-TURN. WE KNOW THIS BECAUSE THERE WAS VIDEO. I was at the court house for a few hours waiting to be called. During that time I must have watched 30 or so others plead not guilty as well, with many using the same defense. In almost every case their video also showed no traffic, but in every case they too were found guilty, despite ...
