No, and the NYT paywall is ridiculously easy to bypass.  Plus, there are people in China who have learned how to get around the "Great Firewall" and its thousands of hacker-spies.  The NYT should be no match.

That's how I know I'm getting old... the one thing I use incognito browsing for is the NYT.

From what I've read this is either intentional or they lucked into a good price-discrimination idea - charge the people who are willing to pay, make it easy for the ones unwilling to pay to see your ads, share your content, etc.
