It's one of the northernmost countries in sub-Saharan Africa.  That's as much sense as I can make from that.

By this time the Kenyan hostages should be going through the early stages of the Helsinki Syndrome. As in Helsinki, Sweden.

Well... it is on the coast, and it is to the north of whatever godforsaken hellhole that lies just to the south of it... so he's kinda right.

And Toure has retweeted a joke about his blunder.

And undoubtedly they have begun to pine for the fjords.

Meh, could have been fixed in one sentence. "Kenya, seen here on the map, is located on the north coast of Africa. No, I'm sorry, I misspoke, I meant to say the east coast of Africa." More of a speaking flub than a real geographic fail.

It's the Cycle.  From what I can tell about having listened to it in the past, it's where the slower 'journalists' get to go on TV if there's nothing else important and talk for a while.

S.E. Cupp was on there, if that tells you anything about the caliber of people they have.

Actually, MSNBC is -2.  Link

Please note if you have noscript, looks like you'll have to temporarilly allow syracuse.com to see the picture.  From my understanding, they owned up to that mistake.

frostus Didn't that guy come from MTV?

Actually he's from MuchMusic, the Canadian MTV that they tried to claim was American by rebooting it out of NYC as 'fuse'. So, as far as a hip-hop journalist he's no Ronin Ro, as far as VJ's go he was no Master T"...so far, as a political pundit all he's got is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFY2kJ96jNY

I expect accuracy, integrity, and comprehensiveness from my TV. If I wanted to color in funny-shaped squares I'd buy a book of them.

England just means "Land of the Angles", a tribe from what is now northern Germany.
Romania and Bulgaria may have been swapped.
