He doesn't bother to wash your car like a gas-station, oh no ... he scrubs at you here  or here ...or maybe across the undercarriage, spilling your oil.

It was probably looking for weaknesses in the fence.

Burns told 7NEWS three Dakota Ridge High School students apparently used the 6-foot, 100-pound dinosaur for a school prank and that's how it ended up at the sheriff's office.

No, they found a fossilized velociraptor that apparently was covered in down.

Sad fact: Velociraptor was actually the size of a turkey. The dinosaurs they used in JP were more like Deinonychus, just misnamed.

I prefer to think of it as "a turkey is the size of a velociraptor"

It makes Thanksgiving dinner so much cooler.

A velociraptor is

A) An old-time bicycle
B) A genus of dinosaur
B) A type of attack helicopter

I'm sure a six foot tall velociraptor is a pretty distinctive business feature, so why did no one go "Oh yea sir, I know where that's from, that's the car wash on Ottawa!" Bets they wanted to use it in some Super Trooper-like shenanigans?

Yeah, from what I had read about that, cinematically speaking, the name of the velociraptor sounded intimidating enough, but the actual animal was a little too campy to use in the film.  So they kept the name and went with something a bit more vicous.
You'd almost think they were willing to sacrifice realism for the sake of making the film more fun to watch.

Velociraptor mongoliensis. Velociraptor antirrhopus, also known as Deinonychus is quite a bit larger, though not as large as the ones shown in the film.

To be fair though, Utahraptor wasn't actually discovered until after the film had been released. :)

Utah raptor= you dont stand a chance without a gun

Deinonychus= you might stand half a chance if you got a farking knife

Velociraptor mongoliensis= you could step on it.

Why did you write "FTFM" when you are not me?

And I said they were more like Deinonychus. Utahraptor was a bit bigger than the dinos in JP, Deinonychus was a bit smaller, but either way, they weren't Velociraptors.

There may be a flaw in your logic there.  If the Utahraptor wasn't discovered until after the film, how did the model the film after it?

They didn't model the raptors in the film after it, they just took creative license with the 'velociraptors' in the film, and later a new raptor was discovered that more closely fit the dimensions of the raptors in the movie.
