Well, I had about 30 of each.  I always keep Euro and American on me, but we had just gotten back from Scotland and were SUPPOSED to go to Gibraltar for some sort of celebration of something or other.  A monkey, I guess?

Either way, I kind of made a last minute trip home, and had my wallet laden with foreign bills.  Which apparently makes the TSA grumpy.

In my experience, breathing is sufficient to make the TSA grumpy. When I flew to Salt Lake City for my dad's funeral a couple weeks ago, I got pulled aside for a "random" check. The guy who conducted the examination was a real pip, let me tell you. You'll be happy to know that I tested negative for explosives residue, though.

My point was that it would be better to find a way to make it work for them than to waste time and effort denying reality but they wigged out about the evils of health care reform.

Which is incredibly stupid. The EU itself uses about a dozen different currencies, and that's before you get to Urals. What if you had been in Scandinavia and had four different types of Kroner?

Actually, no. If the dems, libs, and Farklibs would simply listen to what the Teabaggers are saying, maybe there wouldn't be so many misconceptions.

The Grand Old Party is working diligently to save America. The biggest job killing piece of legislation since the days of FDR is Obamacare, so it's important to tackle that first. But, BOB and the dems have been stubborn and have only changed Obamacare in ways that benefit their cronies, i.e. BOB and the dems have not been looking out for the American people. As Obamacare is slowly forced down the American people's throats, Republicans are keeping an open mind about ways to prevent the bungled, anti-Freedom legislation from destroying our Great Nation.

Would this be the same FDR that brought the country out of the Great Depression, and was so popular that he served four terms as President?

KarmicDisaster: Felgraf: phenn: Felgraf: Also, psst, psst. Costa Rica provides universal healthcare.

You would be partially correct.

There is a government-underwritten health care system here called CAJA. It benefits the residents and citizens - not emigrants. It is funded by a consumption (sales) tax and works well for those who use it. For those who do not, health care is cheap. VERY cheap. Because the government doesn't poke its collective arse into everything under the sun, patient care, medication, etc is affordable.

Still taking the fruit of your labor at no benefit to you. Tax is a tax.

How do you figure that health care insurance isn't a benefit? Or do you not understand how insurance works? Not everyone gets more out of an insurance policy than they put in.

He's an immigrant in costa rica, and he specifically said that their universal health care does not apply to immigrants.

Thus, he is still doing something the he *claims* is the reason he left the US.

Thus he receives the same benefit from it he does from paying 'moochers' in the US (Which, I agree *DID* ultimately benefit him in a round-about-way. But he apparently didn't feel that way.)

Who the hell is BOB?

He's never come out and explained this BOB thing.   *shrugs*    I think it's meant to demonize our President, but I don't get it.   I say we just point and laugh at him.   It's up to him to explain this new meme he keeps pushing.

After the past week of seeing this stupid meme attempt, I propose thus: any post containing said meme never gets responded to. It'll just sits there in a thread; lonely, retarded, and not given the attention it so desperately seeks.

It's dumb, and at first was fun to make fun of. At this point, however, it doesn't even deserve to be made fun of. No need to plonk, just don't give any sort of acknowledgement to any posts with the offending meme.

/my last response to the failed meme

I think it's some kind of puzzle.  Like a multi-post/multi-thread cypher that you have to try to put together.  Just filling in 'POTUS' in exchange for 'BOB' in most of his posts obviously doesn't work, too many of the facts don't line up.  From the context, I've concluded it must stand for some organization or individual who is a shadowy, malicious power broker manipulating events from behind the scenes -- but so far I don't have any leads.  These word search and word substitution games sure keep the politics tab fun!
