What a stupid thing to say.
'cause there are no 'real' jobs in government work

No real roads
No real work to be done in veterans affairs.
Nothing to be done in order to get social security checks out to the folks who rely on them.

The biggest flaw in the philosophical underpinnings of galt trolls in that they assume property rights are God-given and universal. Try driving a really nice car around downtown Mogadishu for a while and leery me know how that works out for you.

HMS_Blinkin: fsud: Obama didn't want the sequester?

It was his idea, of course he wanted it.

I'm told on Fark by FarkLibs at least five times a day that Barack "BOBby Fisher" Obama plays 4th dimension chess. He new the sequester was bad, and new Dim's wouldn't be n'sync with R's on a deal. It stands to reason that new kids on the block of the TeaPartyPatriots wouldn't extend the debt ceiling again, as America shouldn't, but Obama new they wouldn't.

When all that happens there is only one direction to go he will institute martial sharia law and appoint himself King as America burns under 98 degrees heat next summer. At that point theres no turning back. Street boys in the new black panthers will run our local governments.

Well done.  I'm sure I missed some.

So a "real job" can only come from the private sector, huh?  Police, firefighters, and soldiers don't have real jobs?  We should just abolish all government--local, state, and federal--and turn into an anarchic mess because you don't like that, in order to function, governments require workers, which are in turn paid by tax dollars?  That's pretty stupid, don't you think?

The idea that a modern society can run without tax dollars and that you shouldn't be required to pay your fair share for even the most basic of services you take for granted, such as roads, is ridiculous.  Stop being dense.

Perhaps, but if you live in Costa Rica, you are no longer "Paying salaries like [his]".

You are also paying for the healthcare of people that are not you, so, sorry buddy, they're still stealing 'the fruits of your labor'.  Whatever your labor may be.

Perhaps I came off a bit harshly, but if everyone thought the way you did, we A) Wouldn't have gone to the moon, B) Probably wouldn't have eliminated smallpox and polio. Not because ZOMG THE PHARMACUTICAL CONSPIRACY because it kind of takes a pretty massive public funding/works effort to get mass vaccinations done.

And that's just two small, quick examples.

You would be partially correct.

There is a government-underwritten health care system here called CAJA. It benefits the residents and citizens - not emigrants. It is funded by a consumption (sales) tax and works well for those who use it. For those who do not, health care is cheap. VERY cheap. Because the government doesn't poke its collective arse into everything under the sun, patient care, medication, etc is affordable.

what_now: I have 7 kinds of currency in my wallet. Not much, just a few bills (or coins) in low denominations. Why? Because it's farking cool.

Well, I had about 30 of each.  I always keep Euro and American on me, but we had just gotten back from Scotland and were SUPPOSED to go to Gibraltar for some sort of celebration of something or other.  A monkey, I guess?

Either way, I kind of made a last minute trip home, and had my wallet laden with foreign bills.  Which apparently makes the TSA grumpy.

phenn: thurstonxhowell: I really, really want to know Phenn's occupation.

She's a mother. They know best, no matter how mind bogglingly stupid the things they say are.

I have been a creative director for 25+ years. These days, I work for myself.

Next question?

Ah, so "patriot blogger" then.

raerae1980: Graffito: Aristocles: Jairzinho: FTA: "...the presidential prospect said Republicans in Congress could use votes on measures in the House and in the Senate to come up with compromise legislation that could make the law more palatable."

Now that you guys realize that it's not going to happen, now, now you want to COMPROMISE? What would you guys give up that you could still obtain? NOTHING!! so Fark OFF!!!!

Actually, no. If the dems, libs, and Farklibs would simply listen to what the Teabaggers are saying, maybe there wouldn't be so many misconceptions.

The Grand Old Party is working diligently to save America. The biggest job killing piece of legislation since the days of FDR is Obamacare, so it's important to tackle that first. But, BOB and the dems have been stubborn and have only changed Obamacare in ways that benefit their cronies, i.e. BOB and the dems have not been looking out for the American people. As Obamacare is slowly forced down the American people's throats, Republicans are keeping an open mind about ways to prevent the bungled, anti-Freedom legislation from destroying our Great Nation.

Who the hell is BOB?

He's never come out and explained this BOB thing.   *shrugs*    I think it's meant to demonize our President, but I don't get it.   I say we just point and laugh at him.   It's up to him to explain this new meme he keeps pushing.

After the past week of seeing this stupid meme attempt, I propose thus: any post containing said meme never gets responded to. It'll just sits there in a thread; lonely, retarded, and not given the attention it so desperately seeks.

It's dumb, and at first was fun to make fun of. At this point, however, it doesn't even deserve to be made fun of. No need to favorited!, just don't give any sort of acknowledgement to any posts with the offending meme.

/my last response to the failed meme

phenn: Felgraf: Also, psst, psst. Costa Rica provides universal healthcare.

"In 1973, the CCSS took over administration of all 29 of the country's public hospitals and all health care"
