As a government employee who already suffered furloughs this summer, fark you TeaTards. You have done nothing to improve this country and done everything to destroy it. I've got bills to pay and you're not helping matters

Even better sitting out here in Afghanistan and having your pay suddenly stop.  Makes managing things at home from thousands of miles away REAL easy.

I can't imagine how "easy" it is. Maybe we could put you in Congress and send them over there...nah, that would never work. They'd shiat their pants waaaaaaaay before they even got on the plane

I was promised by fox news dot com that the sequester was actually going to be good for the country because...well, I don't think they gave a reason, I think they just pointed out that Obama didn't want it so it had to be good, but yeah. That's good enough for me and mine.

When will "welp" die?

2013-09-23 08:34:57 AM
FTFA: Some Senate Republicans, including would-be 2016 presidential rivals Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida, have said they would vote to refuse to pay for the health care law, even if it meant shutting down portions of the government. Paul has called closing down the government "a dumb idea."

RINO!!!

2013-09-23 08:50:12 AM
Well shutting down the government would interfere with the Medicare payments his medical practice depends on

This sequester thing reminds me of last week, when I went through customs at Dulles. The line for immigration was long, but immigration was pretty well staffed. By the time you got to the customs checkpoint, there were  two agents and  three planeloads of people trying to make a connection. Thanks, Obama.

Slaxl: When will "welp" die?

Welp, y'know, it's just a filler word. Like, um, "like", and uh... "hmmm", or "y'know"... er..., so, well, it's going to stick around, because it's a simple monosyllable that conveys no information but breaks up speech giving the speaker more time to think and giving the audience more time to process.

//Seriously, though, the experience was miserable enough that I found myself wondering why on Earth I came back to the US after vacation.
//"Welcome to the United States. Go fark yourself."

less filler word and more like "well" but in a dialect I'm not quite sure where it's from

These tards should cut their own benefits and premium health care first... show us how it is done; tea pots. Then I'll listen to them about cutting mine.

Also "Paul said Republicans still expect members to fight the law, which national polls show only about a third of Americans support. "

Only one third support it? Or is that a quote of what he "believes".

How about "Do you believe the government should defund Obamacare?"

If that's the question, a majority of Americans say "No, Obamacare should not be defunded."

I'd bet it's a lot more that Obama keeps pitching traditionally Republican ideas. It's kind of hard to play partisan politics when he's just reading out of their book from 10-20 years ago.

Lowering the number of people who use the ER as primary care, making sure everyone is vaccinated will help everyone. Doing away with pre-existing condition denials and lifetime limits will help most people.

I don't know about that. The deficit is as low as it has been in ages and the debt looks manageable. Hell, if we just shut the government down every year when we run out of funding, maybe, just maybe, we will actually raise taxes and cut discretionary spending to the point that we no longer have a deficit.

Pop quiz. What is the largest catagory of discretionary spending we currently have on the books?

Barry Soberto Obama went back in time and kicked off 30+ years of wage stagnation in the middle class by reading his fake birf certificate backwards while pooping on the constitution.

In what sense did conservatives lose? Their opponents adopted heritage foundation insanity as their health plan and then ran it across the goal line. Even now with only the house in their hands the most you can say is that conservatives probably wont be able to fark it up even more.

I'm told on Fark by FarkLibs at least five times a day that Barack "BOBby Fisher" Obama plays 4th dimension chess. He new the sequester was bad, and new Dim's wouldn't be n'sync with R's on a deal. It stands to reason that new kids on the block of the TeaPartyPatriots wouldn't extend the debt ceiling again, as America shouldn't, but Obama new they wouldn't.

Serious question: did they ever submit an alternative route for approval? Last I heard the legislature and Governor of Nebraska would not approve the suggested route and TransCanada said they were working on developing an alternate route. It just seems crazy to me if it gets building approval before they even have a route for the pipeline that the states will agree to.

Some provisions, Paul said, include removing caps on health savings account contributions or deductibles for health policies.

I want to be against him here but I would like the HSA limit to be higher.  Am I missing something, like to have a higher limit you have to forego insurance?
