Better question. Why is a 4-year old still wearing diapers? Unless he's disabled in some manner he should have been toilet trained already.

...is this satire?

I mean, someone named "Crank" getting arrested for "Meth" is a bit strange/ironic/funny

Good good and good.  Foster homes can suck, but getting this kid away from his gene donors may save him from a life of meth & crime.

Crank then admitted she'd been up four days

"paranoid from the drug abuse."

Drugs or no drugs, staying awake for four days straight will fark with your head.

I literally did a double take while reading the article.

And trying to find a silver lining...at least she sorta did the right thing? I mean, her drug use created the paranoia and neglect...but she believed her boyfriend had molested him and went right to the cops. So, at least there's that?

/feels bad for the kid

What guy? The baby/4 year old? The cop? Or the guy at the gas station that saw the delivery guy drop they $20 the woman picked up from the blind man and wound up writing the letter to other person and wound up on the news? Then all 12 people's's' shoes fell off! THE HUMANITY!!!!!!

This is actually a fairly common practice in the junkie world.  Junkie woman gets pissed off at junkie guy and then says that junkie guy molested her children.  Since no one likes junkies and everyone certainly hates child molesters, it usually ends up with them in jail for a few months while an investigation is done.

My five year old wears pull-ups, for bed-wetting, but he's in underpants the rest of the time. And he can change himself. I'm sure that would be reasonable for a four year old, and more convenient for Ms. Cranky.

Do we even have proof about that the "boyfriend" existed?

Yet another example of .... Don't trust or talk to the cops if you don't have to.  They may only interested in furthering their own careers.

\It helps not to be possibly be strung out on harsh drugs while you have a baby too, assuming that is accurate.

It would seem like good business for crackmom to have him out of diapers.  Diapers be spensive and she could have bought more rocks with that money.

My son wore overnight diapers until shortly after age 4.  We didn't rush potty training and we don't regret it.

Stupid meth-head.

Everyone knows that a boy his age has either just been shot down there, or is going through the menstruation process.

I've been up four days on meth, and four days without; and I can safely say that the four days without was much worse and led to more freaky hallucinations than the four days with.

The four days with did much more permanent damage to my CNS, so I don't really recommend either.

Nothing wrong with that. But given the kid had a diaper rash...he's not changing himself. :(

Back in my days with that I asked the roommate who introduced me to it if he had any advice. He said "Sleep. Every night". I thought he was joking but I took his advice. Never stayed up more than 24 hours, even if that meant just laying in bed with my eyes closed.

Crank, my conscience clear
Please call me crank, it's what I need
Crank, my mind in seed
