I don't pretend to know her motivations or if she is even interested in running. But if I were in her shoes I would troll the ever loving fark out of the GOP as hard and long as I could for sweet sweet revenge. The way they have treated her for almost 2 decades is shameful.

How dare you twats say liberals are afraid of a strong conservative woman dipshiat.

I dunno...I'm sort of torn on this.  On one hand, I'd like someone who isn't part of the Clinton, Bush, Kennedy family.  They had their turns.   On the other hand, she is experienced.   And NOT CRAZY.  Which is reassuring.   So....hmmmmm.   Thoughts?

If Hillary runs, it's going to be a landslide victory for the GOP.

Hillary is more liberal than Obama. Hillary is a 100% maximum liberal. Obama brought socialism to America, Hillary is going to bring communism to America.

We'll just have to wait and see if someone else shows up who would be really good. If not, then Clinton it is.

I would like to see Warren, but she'll probably wait until the 20s.

I remember hearing good things about Huntsman back in 12 (on the R side); perhaps he'll run again. Supporter of science, solid foreign epxerience, supports ACA, supported the dream act, wants better public education (unfortunately he's also for vouchers). He may be a bridge back to rationality between the two parties, which is probably why he lost in the 2012 primaries so quickly.

As long as our leaders are well-qualified, reasonably non-corrupt and democratically-elected, I don't really care if they come from a dynasty.

Yeah, we fought a war to get away from that dynasty shiat. Then again, unlike Dubya, Hilary has more than just her relationship to a former President as a qualification. And I don't know of anyone else who could do better. Unless Gore wants to run again but he already won once and it didn't take.

I'm a big fan of Warren.  She's kind of become the champion for the common person (or presents herself to be).  However, I think the GOP will have a field day as painting her as a socialist communist.  If she waits until 2020 we'll also have to listen to the age thing like they're trying to do to Clinton.

I'd have a tough time deciding between Hillary and Uncle Joe. Hillary's resume is unbeatable, but Uncle Joe is more of a populist. Either way, the country would benefit.

Although I don't subscribe to your right-wing ideology, your first sentence is accurate.  Hillary is FAR too contentious.  Her running in 2016 will make the Bush-Gore race look like a love in.

Will you stupid Dems just nominate Elizabeth Warren already?

Since 2000 I've gone from almost always voting R to absolute disdain of basically everything those sick assholes stand for.  I'm not sure if they have really made a transformation, or if the disguise just came off, or if they've always been this crazy and I just couldn't see it, or what.

Notabunny: between Hillary and Uncle Joe

Biden was born November 20, 1942 (age 70).   I dunno...he's getting up there.   Clinton was  born October 26, 1947 (age 65).  Hmmmm, they are both getting up there.  And we see how the presidency ages people quickly.

E. Warren was born June 22, 1949 (age 64).   Yikes!!   Even's she'll be old.

Aren't there any younger Dems out there?

Outside of vouchers, the only crazy that seemed to come out of his mouth is how he seemed obsessed with building The Wall between the US and Mexico.  But, yeah, he would've made a great candidate.  Except (a) he wasn't crazy enough for the GOP base and (b) *apparently* his staff was a bit inexperienced (IIRC, they supposedly missed the filing deadline in AZ, for example).  If he runs in '16, I'll have to give him a real hard look.

No one else, on either the Dem or Rep side, has Hillary's brand power. Christie is popular but he hasn't been in the national spotlight anywhere near as long. And she will have the cache of being potentially the first female president. It coincides perfectly with the GOP's suicidal war on women. With the inmates running the GOP asylum, they won't be able to stop the endless stream of deranged sexist shiat the right wing nutjobs will unleash if Hillary is the nominee.

She's running.

If a person is completely qualified, experienced with decision making and would be actually perfectly suited for the job, their last name should not be a reason to decline them.

And this dynasty fear is crap. Come back when the same family has been president for centuries.

New York Magazine?  No thanks, I don't need another Clinton ass kissing story.  Doesn't matter anyway, Jeb will beat her with no problem.  I wasn't a huge GWB fan, but his father was a great president, and i think Jeb fits more into that mold.  Strong, intellegent, a real thinker, with real solutions for real America.

Lots of GOP candidates for executive branch offices sound great on the campaign trail, but they almost always devolve into mere rubber stamps for the Teabaggers when they have Republican-controlled legislatures.   Huntsman would be no different.

Q for the Warren fans: do you think she has the charisma to win? Like it or not, it's important in a race of this level of visibility. I don't see her connecting with the average America no matter what things she says. A candidate doesn't necessarily have to be a drinking buddy type of person but they at least have to be warm and confident. Warren looks continuously nervous and highly wound up. She's make a great Secretary of Labor or Education and probably could do a lot of good by running either of those departments competently.
