I'll be too busy watching Breaking Bad to see Breaking Bad win everything. And watching Dexter mercifully end (bad season).

I'm sure everybody will tune in to see if NPH can even come close to the opening number from the Tony Awards.  (He won't; NOTHING can approach it.)

It's all a sham since Tatiana Maslany was not nominated for best actress, while Elizabeth Moss basically just showed up for work and got a nomination. Maybe they were also taking Top of the Lake into account, but I really don't see what was Emmy worthy about her performance last season since Peggy was kind of just there.

I really really think that this year, they should have done the Emmys on Saturday night.  How can anyone watch this when Breaking Bad is on?  Or even when Dexter is on?

The irony here is that BrBa will dominate tonight, and good for them, but all its fans will be glued to AMC...

Maybe the show will have a mysterious power outage from 9-10, Super Bowl-style.

Biggest question of all... will the Emmys honor the passing of an honest-to-god WWII hero and revered veteran of TV, or some overdosed heroine junkie who couldn't handle the success of a mid-level rated TV show?

Oh, no question at all... of course they honor the gutless junkie punk.

Who knows who cares. Time would be better spent rewatching the pilot episode of Breaking Bad then rewatching Ozymandias. Watch them back to back. Notice the parallels. Then realize you should have had the entire episode figured out. It was all in the opening scene of Ozymandias and the pilot episode. You'll thank me.

Is there any place that provides moving bodies of water for this? I usually grab a 720p rip of it minutes after it ends but I figured I'd try to watch it live tonight.

Actually, I think next year will be Breaking Bad's year.  Remember, all the votes were in before any of this year's episodes were aired.  And while the first half of the season was good, it wasn't as good as either season four or this half of the season.

I think it's going to be an egalitarian year.  No drama wins more than two awards and Game of Thrones wins Best Drama in an upset.

/And everybody knows you watch the first hour of the Emmys (when they air the Comedy awards), switch to Breaking Bad at 9:00 when they're showing Movie/Miniseries/Variety/Reality awards and then come back at 10:15 for the Drama awards and Best Series.

Walt's taking the M60 to mow down the Emmys. The ricin is for Neil Patrick Harris. Book it.

Is Mad Men still on? Emmy voters have a Viagra-induced hard-on for the good old days of institutional sexism.

Best Drama is the last category. The episode will be over by then, so fans will switch over..

a. 2nd to last Breaking Bad is on
b. Dexter finale is on
c. Bears/Steelers is gonna be bees
d. The Emmys aren't gonna honor Quincy or Hagman and instead honoring a addict.

Bite me.

I'm not sure BB will dominate tonight. This second half of the season has been off the chain good, but the first half wasn't near this good. Also, Emmy voters.

Last yearHomeland dominated. I don't see that happening this year, but I'll be watching Breaking Bad then Dexter.

Here's what I think.  Mad Men stopped winning last year.  It's really hard to start winning again once they've stopped voting for you.  Homeland had an iffy second season.  House of Cards was kind of out of the cultural consciousness when everybody was voting. Breaking Bad has never won before and didn't really explode until this fall.  And Downton Abbey is Downton Abbey.  Game of Thrones had an amazing season (probably better than Breaking Bad 5a) and was absolutely peaking in June when everybody was submitting their initial ballots and first talking about the Emmys.  If GoT had aired in September, I'd probably pick House of Cards (and if anybody's going to win 4+ Emmys this year I think it will be them), but GoT had perfect timing while everybody else has something holding them back.

Is this the episode where Hank smokes the ricin cigarette?

Ah, the Buffalo Bills.  Let's run a play-action draw from our own 1 with 21 seconds left.  That makes sense.

Breaking Bad is going to sweep all categories it's nominated in, with the exception being Skylar losing out to that Downtown Abbey chick for supporting actress in a drama.

They're running The Emmy's against Breaking Bad? It's like they don't care about ratings.

The only way I can see Walt using the M60 is if something happens to his family.  Death to Skyler & Flynn.

Eh, The Emmys pulled 12.5 million viewers last year against the NFL on NBC and an NFL overrun on CBS.  I think they'll be okay against Breaking Bad's 6 million.

The Name Game dance sequence on this year's "American Horror Story" = had to be there.

The Emmys always run on Sunday night. Given that they used to run up against the Sopranos and Six Feet Under, I'd say they'll be fine.

Plus, remember. Most of the categories Breaking Bad is nominated for will be in the last hour of the Emmys, after the new episode has already ended.

Unless you think that Low Winter Sun and that Chris Hardwick talk show are going to keep every Breaking Bad viewer, which is farking stupid.

Either he's saying America's in distress or he's referring to "House of Cards" using it in its title card and on ads.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler need to host everything ever.  That is all.
