Only one headscratcher.  Luck vs SF or Eli vs Panthas?

Anyone think James Starks will be the RB1 for the rest of the season?

Lost Rice for a few weeks. Got a trade offer for my QB2 Rivers. Changed it to Witten and Rivers for Jimmy Graham and Stark.

I'd take Eli. Even when he's bad (like last week), he still puts up 350+ yards.

Not a chance.  If you're lucky, you get him as feature back this week, then after the bye Lacy is almost certainly back.

I sat KC defense in favor of my 49ers D, now feel like an idiot.

Lt. Cheese Weasel: Only one headscratcher.  Luck vs SF or Eli vs Panthas?

Well, since I'm starting the 49ers D, I'm hoping that Eli would be your best pick.

I have a feeling SF is going to be very angry after their last game. They might kill Luck.

As much as I thought from the beginning he was too small to survive in the NFL, Eli has proven me wrong every single year. He's solid. Play him.

Oh, and thank goodness I drafted extra deep on running backs this season.  10 team NFL.com league:

Goddamit, I couldn't sleep thinking about that fact. I picked up Jackie Battle to fill in for Rice because he was all that was available. Better 1-2 points than 0. I really need to pick more RBs and it's something I don't learn from every single year.

Meh, as long as Rice can come off this injury, I'm hopeful. Because my only other RB is Ryan Mathews who has broken everything but his vagina. He'll probably be declared legally dead by week 4.

Holy sh*t. OK, I'm now reevaluating my RB strategy. Pick all RB2s from the second round on.

At this rate, Barry Sanders might make a return.

I started to pick up Willis McGahee, but then I realized that if Richardson can't break 10 points with that team, how the hell is Willis going to?

/I have Starks & Bush penciled in as starters this week, if Bush can't go then I'm stuck starting Bradshaw.

2013-09-22 08:29:50 AM
So, two of there WR:
Hartline (MIA)
Royal (SD)
Brown (BAL)
Colston (NO)
Decker (DEN)

I am starting Hartline & Royal.  Figured I'd ride out Royal now until he cools off.  Anyone think Decker has a chance of coming back to be a top notch WR, or has he crapped out?

He went for big bucks off the waiver in my league. We have 16 teams and people are desperate for backs.

I think you made the right call.

I think that with the number of targets Peyton has out there, he's going to be hit or miss every week (sort of like Hartline has been).

As far as your question goes, aside from my deep, personal hatred of Hartline, I can't think of any good reason to go with your other guys.  Colston also has what should be a favorable matchup & I have a good feeling about Brown this week, but I don't think you're losing much in potential scoring with Hartline & Royal.

Funny, I'm starting Colston and Decker, but then, my other choices are:

G. Tate (SEA)
V. Jackson (TB) - he's my flex
S. Smith (CAR)

Do we think that Wilson will actually throw to Tate this week simply because he's going to put up 1,000 yards against the jaguars?

Anyone got any inside poop on Fitz and Cardinals? I'm starting Andre now, but starting to look at Owen Daniels maybe instead. TEs are just receivers in my league.

Also-- Does having RBs  mean anything anymore?
I'm starting D Wilson, Andre Ellington
I am unsurprisingly 0-2

Okay, other opinions requested. 12 team league, standard (ESPN) scoring...I need to pick one as my flex this week:

Julian Edelman vs TB
Jacquizz Rogers @ MIA
Eddie Royal @ TEN
James Starks @ CIN

NOT a PPR league.

I think you gotta take a chance with Royal here. He'll get shut down eventually but the rest of those guys are dogs(Edelman's only consistent in PPR)

You need to start Jizz. That is all I'll say and I'm hoping it works. I tried to draft him and got beat by 2 picks. I dunno, but I have a feeling about The Jizz.

I had him all last year and watched most Falcons games(had Julio too). He's a scat back that cant break through the line between tackles. PPR maybe, but standard league I'd stay away.

2013-09-22 09:47:18 AM
I'm starting Peyton and Moreno.  That will be fine until the inevitable off day with Peyton....or bye week.  Then I have Vick and Frank Gore.

Yeah, I know.  The other 15 teams are run by idiots.  I have an embarrassment of riches.

Brandon Marshall and Cruz too.  Houston is my D.

Got Edelman off waivers too.

I was debating between Royal and Starks if this helps. They're both dogs that haven't smelled too bad the last couple games. I was just trying to figure out which one had fewer fleas.

I'm glad we're not the only league who calls him Jizz Rogers. He's our hilarity pick the last two years. Guy just randomly yelling out JIZZ ROGERS.

We drink a lot.

Think you need to find a way to get Colston in there.  Then its a toss up between Hartline, Royal, and Decker.  The Denver receivers are going to be feast and famine since Peyton will throw to the open man.  If there is a game where Decker can't get open he's not going to see a lot of balls.

Sorta like Edelman, he's Brady's only completely healthy target (even assuming Gronk Plays)

That's what I was thinking. He'll have a better match up than last week and I already have Victor Cruz playing

For once, I have a real RB question for the FFF experts here... Knowshon Moreno vs Oak or DeMarco Murray vs StL? I'm really at a toss-up between the two. I'm at a loss of which to start and which to sit.

I'm also having a (slightly less heavy) debate over my third WR slot: Kenbrell Thompkins vs TB or T.Y. Hilton vs SF? I'm starting Thompkins unless someone gives me an overwhelming reason to swap with Hilton.

Murray, St Louis does have the better D but Moreno is one hit away from Montee Ball.  It is a bit of a toss up though.

SF is good but their D is not Seattle and they are vulnerable to the pass more so then the run.  Hilton seems to catch what is thrown to him.  I also expect the Colts to be playing from behind.

My Fapper League team is projected to do horribly this week and my bench isn't much better. I guess I'll just go with what I have and hope the ESPN predictors are just awful.

What does everyone think about the Seattle hype against Jacksonville?  My QB choices are Wilson against Jacksonville or Schaub v. Baltimore.  I guess I'd be crazy not to give Wilson the start but Schaub has been pretty reliable for fantasy points so far.

Moreno. I see the Broncos putting away the Raiders early and a lot of rushing attempts to burn the clock in the fourth quarter. I'd go Hilton for the WR.

My opponent has Reggie Bush and I have weak RB2's so I've been starting Joique Bell, the news that Reggie is out pleases me.

My only question.

Mike Wallace with a groin strain vs ATL

Or

Torrey Smith vs HOU

2013-09-22 11:10:03 AM
I need 2 receivers from this (at least it's a good problem):

Andre Johnson
Anquan Boldin
Julian Edelman

Is there a red flag to eliminate anyone? I know Johnson had a concussion but was cleared, Boldin was awful last week, and Edelman might be facing Revis this week.  Tough to choose.

I think they will have Honey Badger on Colston all game. Id only pencil in Colston for abourt 50 yards today.

Joique Bell or Bernard Pierce? ESPN standard scoring.

Also, trade question. I had Ahmad Bradshaw in a league. After the Richardson trade, I offered his owner Bradshaw for Lamar Miller, which they quickly rejected. Was that a bad offer, or did I just come across someone not interested in handcuffing Richardson?

Starks @ CIN
Deangelo Williams vs NYG

Which one?  For what it is worth, it's a half point per reception, 15 receiving yards per point league.

Leaning Starks.  Williams is pretty much an assured 90 yards and 0 td.  Starks could be better or worse.
