While I don't want to defend his actions which I find irresponsible, there is a lesson for city mice here. Following people down a dirt road in the country will end badly.

11:00 AM PT -- Checkmate! The photog just went to the cop shop and she saw the light -- if she filed a complaint the police would have probably ended up charging HER with criminal trespass.

More paparazzi need to be shot at. It would make celebrity scandal rags a bit less stuffy.

No, you were looking for any opening to white-knight a trespassing pap. Admit it and move on.

She deserved it.  Not because she was trespassing, but because she thought following around a reality show star whose 15 minutes were up years ago was a worthwhile enterprise.

Amazingly, her identity is conspicuosly absent from all the articles. If I were to guess, taking into account how her trade involves sitting on her ass in a car all day waiting for "the shot" eating McDs and not bathing, she's fat and reeks like a fish market.

What Mr Gosselin needs to do now is find out her identity and begin stalking her at home, the grocery, taking her kids to school. He could even enlist the help of other C-list celebs to make it a 24 hour a day thing.

Good. People need to stand up to this nonsense. If these photographers treated ordinary people they way they treat "celebrities" (i.e. anyone who has ever found themselves on cable television more than once), it would be considered harassment.

Treat them like deer. They're about as smart, they make similar grunts, and they will likely mess your car up if you hit them.

Why is he using only tracer rounds?  Shouldn't he load a belt with mostly FMJ for best results?  Honestly, I'm not sure how tracers penetrate people, walls and such compared to normal FMJ rounds.

What this entire situation is how the internet has cause American society to go straight into the shiatter.

This is a guy who had more money than most of us would sniff, and lost it in a bad divorce.  Everyone was on his side and then he decided to heel turn and "sow his oats" because of how badly his wife farked with his head.

He's now working a common job, minding his own business, staying off the radar.  I don't fault him for this.

But for the sake of a page click, because people want to point and laugh at a fall from grace, the paps have to eff with him.

Let's see, now - public figure, who has received threats in the past, chased onto private property in remote location and fires a warning shot to deter pursuit?

I don't see a problem here.

Back in my papparazzi days, if someone shot at us we returned fire. You can get a lot of good closeups after the smoke clears. However, arranging the body in suggestive poses? No. They won't print stuff like that, it's just unethical. Hilarious, but unethical.
