They don't really look like "monsters to be slain."  They look like Pokemon.

Schizophrenia, I choose you!
Schizophrenia is confused!
It hurt itself in the confusion!
Schizophrenia fainted!

Seriously, this is emo Pokémon.

Nope. These don't convey what need to be conveyed.

Schizophrenic art is it's own genre.

I went into a shop that sold the giant microbes and asked the sales woman that I was looking for herpes.  We both had a nice chuckle.

That's actually a copy of a piece of art drawn by a completely sane artist several decades ago. He volunteered for a U.S. military-sponsored drug test, administering LSD. I recommend looking up the full series of the drawings he made during that session, because there's a neat progression of increasingly fractal designs as he lost it completely.

/that thing that looks like a cat was actually how he was seeing the psychiatrist that was administering the drug to him

I have multiple family members with actual paranoid schizophrenia, and the guy from TFA did it all wrong. It would be better represented as some kind of parasite that attaches to a normal person, hollows them out and uses them like some horrible puppet. All of humanities myths and folklores about demonic possession are just people trying to understand schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

I kept a card my mom sent me in mid February one year while I was in college.  She wrote "Have a great V.D." inside.  Unfortunately, my mom is kind of dense because she didn't understand why I called her laughing about it.

She's not that easily pigeonholed.

She has severe social anxiety, AND is phenomenally awkward.  And rather delusional, regularly fabricating elaborate scenarios that depend on multiple falsehoods to even begin to be plausible.

In short, you wonder what her FARK handle is.

Yeah, um, even the descriptions are wrong. The depression monster does NOT move on when it's "had its fill" or bump cutely into shiat.

The commercials where it keeps following the person around even once they ARE on the drug it's advertising are a lot closer.

Also, we have Eeyore already.

These are trying too hard. My SIL has Borderline. This doesn't even begin to express her dangerous psychosis.

Looks somehow similar to the work of Ursula Vernon, though hers tends more cheerful these days.
