HeadLever: steamingpile: And waiting for people to crow about how ESPN went to an Div II school, see they're relevant!

Because it is not real football and shouldn't be enjoyed unless it is the SEC amiright?

I have never said that, ever but I'm sure that's how you think since you're barely FBS school keeps screaming for a NC shot.

My point is nobody cares unless there is no other football, hell even I tune in the games in December when nothing is on but I would rather watch Big U vs Cupcake St than any low level game.

A Fark Handle: also, heard vandy chickened out and that's why (and only why) the great ohio state proud member of the great big ten potato has to play a junior college.  otherwise they like their cupcakes from the mac...

I'm sure this is all true.  I don't mind Vanderbilt being called chicken, we opened on Thursday in the 2nd nationally televised game of the year.  It was one of the best games of the weekend even though we lost. I'll take that trade any day.

well, considering ASU v Stanford is a Pac-12 matchup.....

///incredible seats at home, second row south endzone, behind the goalpost, see them on TV during PATs

Pretty sure it was a jab at the huge fark up they refs made vs Wisconsin giving asu the win.

And waiting for people to crow about how ESPN went to an Div II school, see they're relevant! When its only because its shiat scrub weekend in CFB.

You realize that NDSU is a Div I school?  Div II is where they came from.   Div I is FBS + FCS.

Not only that but NDSU is a repeat National Championship team, beat the last 4 FBS schools they have played, have a 7-2 record against FBS teams, and would be ranked #54 if they were in the FBS....better than over half of the current FBS teams.   How is that for 'not relevant'?   Las Vegas is putting odds up that 'Bama would beat NDSU today by 32 1/2 points if they played....and has 'Bama beating Colorado by 39 points.

/Bison Fan

And nobody cares, its like being the best minor league baseball team or best pro lingerie football team.

I just find it funny that he mentions how the Big Ten pulls 'cupcakes' from the MAC (even though the MAC has become a slightly bigger contender the past few years and had some nice upsets) while Vandy is playing a MAC team this week.

but last week's fark up was particularly special.  they didn't fark up a judgement call.  they farked up the procedure.  it's a bit over the top, but they should all be shot never officiate a college game again.

IlGreven: Ah, Ohio State vs. Florida A&M. A matchup which would be much more intriguing as a battle of the bands than a battle of the football teams.   Unfortunately, the FAMU band did not make the trip.

Unfortunately Vanderbilt didn't show up.  :(

fark playing lower division teams.  I would really prefer my Buckeyes never scheduling I-AA teams.  Youngstown St was forgivable as a tribute (and a payday) for Tressel's old team, but that should have been the one and only time.

I guess this one wasn't really a choice either, but more a result of the mighty SEC not wanting to get blasted out of Ohio Stadium, dispelling the foolish myth that we'd be bottom barrel in that conference.  Hanging 60 on Vandy wouldn't really play well into that myth they've crafted.

rickythepenguin: steamingpile: Pretty sure it was a jab at the huge fark up they refs made vs Wisconsin giving asu the win.

of course it was, but the point is it is a Pac-12 matchup.  that joke would make sense with the ASU / ND matchup in a few weeks or any other non-Pac12 opponent.

steamingpile: aiting for people to crow about how ESPN went to an Div II school, see they're relevant! When its only because its shiat scrub weekend in CFB.

i didn't read the story, but locally (Phoenix) there was an article that said ESPN going to NDSU is a snub to the Pac 12, as arguably Stanford / ASU is the best matchup. and on the radio i half-heard someone talking about, saying hte Pac-12 networks are in bed with Dish Network, not DirecTV, and somehow (I GUESS?) DirectTV and ESPN are in cahoots?

it sounded  weird but yeah, short version:  Pac 12 is butthurt.

I could actually see that as an argument, because logically they should be in California since that is the biggest game and last I checked ESPN does still have the broadcast rights to their playoffs.

All anyone else can see is how ESPN must care to give the little guys some coverage when all they're really doing is trying to get ratings and seems to be shiatting on something they don't control. But support the big dog as long as he's on your side, right small schools???
