Just ignore Aristocles. Based on his profile, and what he said in this thread, he's quite young and angry.

1) His comments are unwaveringly loyal to the GOP, but he says he didn't vote for Bush.
Possibly he was not yet 18, or he was in college and hadn't registered.

2) His profile posts lyrics from KMFDM's album WWIII, which came out in 2003, and Laibach's Das Spiel ist Aus album, which came out in 2007. Like most college-age boys, he thinks he's cool by posting angsty political lyrics by obscure (AKA non-radio) bands, but what he doesn't realize is that they've had a huge following since the late 80s.

3) These two bands are German. Once again, he thinks he's cool by posting German lyrics (Laibach), but it really just says that he remembers just enough German from his language classes in high school, and it was probably through the high school German club where he was introduced to such music. He's trying to assert superiority through his German knowledge.

4) Also, what he doesn't realize is that the lyrics are about dubya.

Aristocles is likely between 18-25, and probably believes a lot of what he is saying. It's just that his worldview his heavily skewed and quite narrow right now. He may turnaround, but it'll likely take a meltdown, and we won't see him again to confirm.

For those of you who might be unfamiliar with this site:

Welcome to the Fark Politics tab.

We like to point out how wrong Republicans are about the things they say, and there are sources to prove their hypocrisy.

In the middle of all this, there are trolls who post biased, opinion-based links in an attempt to see if you are actually awake.

If you feel the need to respond to them, out of boredom, curiosity or anything else, these are the only acceptable responses:

To Aristocles: "Who is Bob?" (Hint: he'll never answer, and he'll ramble on about talking points you really don't care about.)

To freak7: "Prove it." (He can't, and sometimes will back himself into a corner and prove himself more wrong.)

Watch out for subject switches and Townhall links. Stay safe out there, citizen. (And by citizen, we mean you're likely more eligible to live here than Rafael Cruz.)

They knew from the beginning that this was an organized attack, not a protest that got out of hand. They spent a week or so blaming a youtube video instead of telling the public that it was planned in advance.

Prove it.

U.S. agencies came to the view that the Benghazi attack had begun spontaneously after protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo against a short film made in California lampooning the Prophet Mohammad. Turner said that as U.S. intelligence subsequently learned more about the attack, "we revised our initial assessment to reflect new information indicating that it was a deliberate and organized terrorist attack carried out by extremists."

ok so first off, i flipped my lid thinking it was the 9/11 memo and that was obviously stupid. but you really can't compare the two. a warning about an attack on a consulate gives you a much narrower search area. look what happened a few weeks ago, there was chatter from AQ militants threatening attacks and they pulled all the personnel out of all the embassies in the middle east. that's because there's only a handful of "at risk" targets to consider, whereas a memo that says "hey, AQ wants to strike the US" could mean a gazillion things. little can be done beyond a general elevated posture. it's not the same thing, not even the same ballpark IMO.

That memo was completely, totally faked.

Lionel Mandrake: themindiswatching: So Obama "murdered" the ambassador  how again?

Because he failed to authorize the use of warp-speed jets to fly to the area of attack and drop those super-smart bombs that only kill bad guys.  Study it out.
