Yup. That was a dick move and not a single liberal will support that fellow, who apologizes and was fired.

See, this is how you deal wiht the GOP. You point out that they have tried to repeal the ACA 42 times without a single replacement option.

You don't go after their children, because even though they have no problem with calling Sasha Obama a "ghetto biatch" and Chelsea Clinton the "White House Dog" you want to rise above those subhumans.

It was response to this tweet.  So what is it that Republicans want to fight for?  What does being a Republican do for the majority of their party?

He should have said "May your children all die from debilitating, painful, and CURABLE diseases."  After all, that's kinda the point.

I notice there is no 'in response to'. We only hear one side.

It was a Twitter deal.  There's a screencap of the original Tweet and his response at the bottom of TFA.

I have yet to encounter the situation that calls for wishing a painful death on another's children

At least the guy actually apologized, instead of the usual "I apologize if I offended anyone" non-apology that we usually get.

TFA doesn't have a quote of the apology, do you?

My personal interest in all this bullshiat is that my brother is developmentally disabled - he will probably need to rely on his family and friends and SS disability his entire life. And he works!

There are millions of Americans who are legitimately physically or mentally disabled - they aren't "gaming the system", they aren't welfare queens or fraudsters, they are actually mentally or physically retarded.

The fact that the Republican party is on record as wanting to deny a disabled person his $500 per month benefits is absolutely disgusting.

Its ESPECIALLY disgusting considering that these people are the same people who claim that America is a "Christian Nation"

2013-09-20 09:57:19 PM
Well at least he wasn't a Democratic Party spokesman.

Honestly, I don't see how this is worse than voting one time to defund Obamacare, much less 42 times. I do agree with the upthread Farker who said that it should read 'curable,' but other than that, all he did is repeat exactly what the House of Misrepresentin' has said to me 42 times. Non-issue, over-zealous spokesman.

Let me be clear: if your healthcare plan is for me to die quickly, then I wish this and worse on your children.

It says he apologized shortly afterwards. Still doesn't take away the guy made a huge ass out of himself. Bonus dumbass points for being the communications chair and doing it on Twitter.

I was just calling into question the distinction between a 'real' apology vs the non-apology described in the post I quoted. Since there is no quote of the actual apology, we shouldn't assume what type it was.

From your own source:  This plan has a few problems, or, to put it another way, doesn't solve some of the key issues with the status quo that prompted Obama and the Democrats to pursue health-care reform in the first place.

Sounds like a winner!

No, but a farking shiat-ton more than the other 'plan'. Oh right, if Obamacare doesn't fix everything, it is worthless. Do you ever get tired of being so blindingly stupid?

I know the answer.

Dancin_In_Anson: Yeah....um....

And before you get your panties in a wad, the source has impeccable liberal credentials.

Did you read the same article I did? Nothing in there could be counted as a replacement for ACA.

He lists six points, in groups of three.

A1) Expand competition and use of the marketplace - ACA's health exchanges cover this
A2) Empower consumer to exercise choice - also covered by the exchanges
A3) Disempower bureaucrats getting between doctors and patients - baseless Republican talking point

B1) Purchase insurance across state lines - does nothing, and, like the banks, results in a race to the least regulated state
B2) Expand HSAs - exacerbates the problem of only the people who can afford it getting healthcare
B3) Decouple insurance from employment - a good idea, but one also supposedly covered by the exchanges

If those are Republicans' ideas for an ACA replacement, they'd be far better served just by working with Democrats on the matter, instead of opposing it on principle because the blah guy's fer it.

that's not a solution. That's a stop gap until someone who isn't a democrat is in power or enough people die in poverty that the GOP can regain control.

That does nothing to fix costs. It does nothing about prexisitkng conditions. It does nothing to help people stay healthy.

It's worse that what we has before Obamacare.

2013-09-20 10:27:51 PM
Defunding Obamacare is purely a political issue and is not related to health care, Libtard.  Everyone is free to the best health-care they can afford.

In fact, nothing any politician does is related to real-world issues; it's all political.  So...are they really representatives if they do not represent reality?

Makes you go hmmmm.

Doubly baseless, since the GOP is hellbent on cramming every bureaucrat into the doctor's office that it possibly can, where certain health decisions are concerned.
