Headso: The most unpleasant speech should be protected the most.

Not in Europe and if Feinstein has her way not here. I agree though but this child is being set up for failure.

FLMountainMan: DROxINxTHExWIND: Elroydb: The only crime she should be charged with is reckless endangerment of a minor. People whose lives were personally affected by the terrorist attacks might not be able to control their emotions when encountered with that even on a kid

At any rate if someone slugged her in the face for doing that with her son I don't think any court would convict them. There's trolling and then there's provoking potential violence

I'm always confused by the goodies who think violence is acceptable when THEY are offended, but fark everyone else. For all we know, this woman had a husband/brother/son/cousin killed some time during the last decade while our troops were blowing up the Middle East. She has to have some pretty strong anti-US feelings to put that kind of shirt on a kid. But naw, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the US demonization of Muslims since 9/11. She just had that shirt made because she's a freedom-hating troll. Keeing things really simple like this makes it easy for me.

Yeah...because before 9/11 (when WE were attacked) the Islamic World loved us.  We got flowers every year, etc...

DRO, you're a smart guy, but that's a pretty stupid statement.

No stupider than thinking that American interference in the Middle East began AFTER 9/11. I'm sure when they were attacking us before 9/11 it was just them being freedom haters. America has never done ANYTHING provocative and every disagreement with another nation is ALWAYS the fault of the other people.

/Just because you were taught American exceptionalism in school, it doesn't make it true.

Amos Quito: Deep Contact: brantgoose: flynn80: The "official" story of 9/11 doesn't include a bomb, wouldn't 7/7 make more sense?

Aha! French Truthers. Now we're talking!

They must be referring to the bombs planted in the towers for demolition.

That was Osama's

OBAMA'S biggest victory!

He planted hundreds demolition bombs in Towers 1, 2 and 7, and Bush was so embarrassed that he could never admit it.

It was all a part of the plat that started with those fake birth announcements back in 1961.

WAKE UP SHEEPLE!!

I am torn between the urge to roll my eyes, or to applaud this lady on her commitment to the bit. That is some world class trolling I will never be able to fathom, let alone pull off.

Exactly. The kid does not deserve to have this happen to him, it is tantamount to the mom punishing him for nothing he ever did. If an adult woman wants to wear a shirt that says 'rape me, I want it', I guess that's her right. But if she puts a miniskirt and a midriff barring shirt that literally says 'rape me pedos' on it on her five year old daughter and sends her off to school like that because she wants to make a statement that's another matter. Of course it would be wrong for anyone to harass the girl, but that does not excuse the mother's asshattery and I'm okay with her being fined for it.

Antimatter: Hold on, she was acquitted, the court appealed, and then was convicted?

Yerp. Funny how the country she apparently hates the most is the one that has what she needs the most... protection of free speech and against double jeopardy, eh?

FloydA: (Oddly enough, the name Warwick has nothing to do with either wars or wicks.  It means "dam farm.")

Well, yes, most English names have jack all to do with their words' actual current meanings. Spelling shifts have rather compounded the issues. A better translation would probably be "land by the dam" though.

Are you proposing a theory that English experienced consonantal drift?  Or just had a healthy vowel movement?
