I have no idea what you are talking about - I don't need an excuse, that show will be considered an American classic someday and should be required viewing, that is why I have it on loop all day every day. "Hey Jessie...Hey Jessie"

My parents are huge Lone Ranger fans, and in theory they would have been the first in line to see it, but neither of them wanted to watch Johnny Depp with a dead bird on his head for two and a half hours.

meh, fark you, I watched Lone Ranger as a kid on tv.  It was still very much a bad idea to make, in 2013, a big budget Lone Ranger movie.  there is no audience.  kids don't wanna be cowboys anymore.
