That's part of it because women's professional clothing is ridiculously expensive. Another part is that a guy can buy one nice gray suit and wear it every day for every occasion and nobody bats and eyelash.  If a woman wore the same dress (or business suit) every day at work, people  other women would immediately biatch to HR that she doesn't wash her clothes (and probably not herself, either).

FTFY.... generally speaking men don't really care if a woman wears the same outfit multiple times as long as it is clean. Other women, however, would be more likely to complain.

Like the saying goes "designer outfits are not to impress men; they are to impress other women".
