babysealclubber: The best part about this is is if it did occur, I know some Cleveland fans who are friends of mine who would delude themselves into thinking this is the move that will vault them to a playoff run.

Pretty much all the Browns fans I know have disowned the team as of yesterday...

I swear to god I can't take it anymore. All my life with this farking team. Nothing but heartbreak, misery, and failure failure failure.
I loved them unconditionally, but they do not love me back. I have nothing left to give...

DirtyDeadGhostofEbenezerCooke: I don't know which is more bizarre; that this is blundering business as usual for the Browns or that this might be a good move, (or, at least, the best move available,) by the Browns.  The idea of the Browns making a 'good' move shakes my confidence in reality.

As for 'betraying' season-ticket holder fans, well, they bought season tickets for the Browns.  It's not like they thought they were getting Broncos or Seahawk tickets.  I don't know whether to feel sorry for them for being Browns fans or because their best hope now is to lose the next 14 games or because 7 of those games are home games and they might slip up and go to some of them.  It's a 'can't sleep, clown will eat me vs. must sleep or go crazy' situation.

I think the Browns at this point just like drafting high profile players to sell tickets for a couple of years until they manage to ruin the guy and don't give a shiat about actually winning.

babysealclubber: Lost Thought 00: babysealclubber: Richardson was the best draft pick they'd made in 5 years.

That may very well be true. Who are the other contenders?

That was supposed to be 50. It wasn't that Richardson was a bad pick in itself, but when you trade away later picks to swap one spot with a team that had no interest in him, it was a bad pick.

You do realize that if they hadn't given up those late round picks to trade up one spot for Richardson, the Vikings would have traded that pick to someone else that wanted him, right?

The Browns had to trade up to get him. If they had sat at 4, Richardson wouldn't have been there.
