AliceBToklasLives: Noam Chimpsky: The three later ones probably saw the skeletons in the other car with the headlights. Last thing.

That's creepy as hell.

It should be, but when I try to imagine this, I automatically see it as drawn by Gary Larson.

"skeletal remains of six people in two separate cars were discovered in Foss Lake Tuesday afternoon. "

"...he believes the remains belong to a couple last seen in Canute in the early 1960s. The two were reportedly on their way to Foss Lake and never seen again "

Apparently they found the lake.

The highest I can go is $25. I've got overhead and they're going to sit around for at least a few years.

Lsherm: TommyymmoT: Did you notice the road? It looks like a runway into the lake.
It just stops, without any signage, or guard rail at the end so I'd imagine it's pretty easy to drive into when it's dark or during bad weather.

That's a boat ramp.  They pulled the cars out onto it.  Looking on the map, it's not really evident how two cars could drive off the road at the same location.  It looks like dropping off route 43 is most likely, but maybe the roads were different 40 years ago.  Or maybe people hit the boat ramp at speed because of poor signage, but I would think they'd be visible to other people dropping off their boats.

There could have been some kind of monster, pagan god or Native American demon in that lake, and the people nearby were required to sacrifice a few young people every now and then so the Bad Thing won't come out of the water and do worse things to them. And maybe it was even better when the victims volunteered, knowingly or not, which could explain the layout of the boat ramp there. And maybe the nearby people were hypnotized or mindfarked somehow so they forgot all about the Evil Critter and the "lost" victims, except when the time for the Sacrifice came they'd snap into a state of mind where they do what's necessary like programmed robots: say the kids have driven drunk around there many times and never went off the ramp or even got their tires wet, but one particular night while they're all staring straight ahead they drive right off the ramp into the lake and drown. And the locals, being mind-controlled too, forget those young people had ever existed, and their photos would vanish and their bedrooms magically become sewing rooms, "man caves" or home offices for Mom's bookkeeping sideline or whatever, and it would seem like it was always like that. If they shared a room with a sibling, say in a bunkbed, presto chango the surviving kid was "always" an only child. Of course it's significant that only bones were found.

And if I ever come across a story like this published somewhere you'd better settle out of court.

Elegy: phrawgh: Elegy: And my lord, after reading the comments in the TFA, they're going round and round about the facts presented in the article more than Farkers in a gun thread.

I thought Farkers were bad about not reading the article...

Has anyone blamed Obama and/or the new Mooslum Miss Amerika yet?

Nope, it's mostly just a bunch of idiots going "WOW! I wonder how they found them!" and "Gee! I wonder who these people were!"

With a bunch of other people going "read the article blah blah blah"

Over. And over. And over again.

Must not have been linked to Drudge.

I swear, if Drudge links to a story about nuns giving away kittens and cookies to underprivedged children, they will find a way to blame Fartbongo.
