The highest I can go is $25. I've got overhead and they're going to sit around for at least a few years.

I saw a snippet of this on the news here.  Where the cars in close proximity to each other?  Anyway, with the bodies still inside, wonder if they just ran off a road.......

Mr. Hinzelmann wanted for questioning.

Did you notice the road? It looks like a runway into the lake.
It just stops, without any signage, or guard rail at the end so I'd imagine it's pretty easy to drive into when it's dark or during bad weather.

I feel jaded, b/c the first thing I thought when I saw the pics was "what asshole ruined a 69 camaro?"

I grew up near some quarries that were regularly dragged for bodies and submerged loot.  And not always by the authorities, if you know what I mean.

Good times.

That's a boat ramp.  They pulled the cars out onto it.  Looking on the map, it's not really evident how two cars could drive off the road at the same location.  It looks like dropping off route 43 is most likely, but maybe the roads were different 40 years ago.  Or maybe people hit the boat ramp at speed because of poor signage, but I would think they'd be visible to other people dropping off their boats.

Surprised this didn't happen in Fark's favorite state. They find lots of long lost cars in canals in Florida when they start looking.

A little different when the driver goes down with the car.  They'll have a hard time proving foul play.  The first thing I would check is what gear is the transmission is in, we can already tell the windows were up.

That's creepy as hell. But I'm guessing the lake was too muddy to see anything (otherwise two whole cars would have been noticed at some point the last 40 years)

I know from having lived through the 70's, all there was to do in rural okla was to drive around and drink beer, (only 18 age limit at the time), and throw in youth and a fast car...........

/lots of accidents from that time

One missing set of people from the early '60s and another from the early '70s.

They should check their files for the early '80s s well and check the rest of the lake.

The flaw in your plan is that it's really hard to ticket dead people. For public safety, I mean.

Bit surprised that 3 sets of parents of teenagers didn't try harder to figure out where their kids had gone?

You'd think that if they'd gone off the road there would have been some marks, or if they went down the boat ramp that it would be an obvious place to start looking.

But... which should they do first? Because pulling unresolved reports of missing persons and vehicles and then going and finding them in the lake would be creepy as all fark.
