CSB:  My sister just got back from photographing a Gwar concert and has fake blood stains in her hair now.  She lives an interesting life.  I had no idea Gwar still existed.

Jixa: Ok, here's my vision:

We open with Dethklok:

Followed by GWAR:

Then, in a final act of metal depravity:

RAMMESTEIN!!!!

/There's something about the German language that really makes metal sound even more metal
//it's also kind of a turn on...just sayin'
\\\non-conformist metal slashies ;)

I would so watch that show, with one addition, anywhere in the lineup: LORDI:

/if they're good enough to win Eurovision, they're good enough for the Superbowl ;)

And then a White Zombie reunion for the finale.

Cool story time . . .

My roommate of many years ago went to college with the founding members, Virginia Tech or something.  She was hanging out with a few of them at a party where they starting coming up with the ideas for a horror band -- the blood, costumes, paper mache monsters, Sleazy P Martini, et al.  She said it was just pretty cool watching them birth these seminal ideas that all GWAR fans know and love today.

Esroc: Their only claim to fame is their costumes, which have been done before and better by other bands

Simply out of curiosity, who has done it better than GWAR, before they did it?

Ok, thanks for wasting two hours of my life so far. I love cover songs, can't believe I've never heard of A.V. Undercover. Most of it is absolute shiat, but there are some shining gems in there (GWAR is not one of them). The Punch Brothers cover is sublime.

Nobody. GWAR beats, eats, and shiats out all the others.

The Raider-Nation would feel at home w/ GWAR.
