This puts me in a massively supersymmetric mode of excitation!

OK. That was just AWESOME.

Still my favorite Bohemian Rhapsody parody ever.

(Note: You have to click on where it says "Begin". Remember when it was typical for Flash apps to do that?)

Yes.

\Hopefully, by my clicking the shiatty io9 link to confirm your guess, it will spare others from having to.

I don't care how accurate it is (nor would I know)...that is simply beautiful

Well it "accurately" describes string theory, but it's debatable whether that makes it "accurate". :)

Regardless, this video is probably going to be responsible for giving the world six or seven more top-notch physicists in the next decade or two.

So close to perfection, there's a Casimir effect.

You may be right if they see this and immediately are inspired to totally avoid the absurd morass of M-theory at all costs.  Never before in history have so many freakishly smart people failed so spectacularly over such a long period.

Imagine the video he'll make the first time he kisses a girl?

Soon as heard him say "Out of touch with reality", I knew he was Canuckski.

Dammit Koothrapali!!

Seriously, though. That's awesome.

Best part of the song.

I have no idea what he's talking about - but I'm going to stay at a Holiday Inn Express,
So we'll talk in the morning!

I hope Brian May (who has a degree in astrophysics) sees this, and loves this. Seriously amazing work.

Says you. I wrote that comment. I'm guilty of recycling, not theft. You think physics jokes just write themselves? Maybe in another dimension, buddy!

Right there is an example of the conservation of it doesn't matter.

Freddy Mercury is in a superposed state of having/not having integral-valued intrinsic angular momentum in his grave. That was awesome, but I don't know enough mathematics/physics (or enough theorists' names) to say how much sense it actually made.

2013-09-18 01:11:06 AM
integer dammit.

Of course, we wouldn't know if he was until we opened the box he's in.

I don't understand it, but I know it is awesome.

I'm also in the "incomprehensible but awesome" camp.

But since this is a Bohemian Rhapsody YouTube Remix thread.... I'm just gonna leave this one here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgbNymZ7vqY  (although I think the Popcorn and Habanera ones are better!)

This is what happens when you're up to your eyeballs in WTF under a deadline and get strung out on modafinil, mathematics, and a shifted circadian rythm.

Freaking awesome, but you can see the desperate need to KILL in his face at times.

His theory, while perfect in theoretical physics, does not hold up to the law of one atom occupying
