Jags are 19.5 point underdogs at Seattle this weekend. Raiders get 15 at Denver. And the Colts get TEN at San Fran. Colts can cover, but I don't know about the other two

ESPN The Mag, IIRC, Has the SEA_JAX game predicted at a 58-0 scoreline. That's ridiculous. Jacksonville may suck, but they won't roll over like AZ did last year.

How are the  Seahawks on top? That smashing was against a division opponent that had emotions high. I mean, you could almost feel the electricity in the air. It was as if I were going to see lightning through out the stadium as the game went on.

Jacksonville can leave everything they have on the field and still lose by 40. It's a question of talent not heart

58-0 is the scoreline of a team that has completely capitulated, like AZ did last season. While Jacksonville is terrible and outclassed by the Seahawks at maybe every position, a near 60-burger is not in the cards again. I'm not saying it's impossible, nor that the 19.5 spread is wrong at all, just that the prediction of a relegation-level beasting may be overblown.

I'd probably have GB over HOU at 4th based on style points, but 2-0 > 1-1.

I'm not sure I'd take the Jags and 19.5 if they were playing the Jets, let alone the Trollhawks.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if the score ends up in the 40-0 range.

So far, Philly has been what i expected. Track meet offense and a porous defense. Can't complain with their ranking.

Their offense shreds their defense as much as their opponents.

As a Niner fan I hate to mention this, but doesn't Kaepernick get the Jake this week?  He put up 3 INTs and lost one fumble--did any other QB top that this week?

Maybe, but its hard to argue that their defense just isn't that good. Decent enough front seven (and Trent Cole has been surprisingly good at linebacker), but the secondary is awful, except for Cary Williams... Providing he's not commiting pass interference.

4 INT vs. 3INT + Sack-Fumble

Is that a tie, or does one trump the other?

Seahawks deserve to be top, I guess the 9ers are 3, but you could make a case for them to be lower.  Would prefer them to be underrated so that there isn't as much pressure heaped on them.  I just hope they beat the Seahawks at home, really all I care about at this point other than winning the division.

The first tie-breaker is whether they won or lost (winners get an automatic get-out-of-jail-free card), but since they both lost, that's moot. I think the second tie-breaker is whoever the selection committee decides is the winner...loser...the worst.

They'll still win at Carolina this week.

I think the sense that were the Pats playing against 28 of the 30 other teams in the league, they'd have been sent home crying plays into it. But that is using "style points" to make the case. Meh. I don't really want to spend any more time thinking about the Patriots. They sit at #7, but they don't even look like a Top 10 team depsite the 2-0 record.

Titans at 22nd? They've beaten Pittsburgh and took the Texans into overtime, both games on the road, btw.  I would put them higher

21 seems low, but whatever.  it is just an opinion.  Couple things i like:  the commitment to the running game.  although we haven't lit it up, we're moving the ball at least, whereas the last fe years we had no running game.  palmer looks pretty good in protection, and multiple receivers are getting targeted.

defensively, Peterson and Mathieu are a good combo.  Johnson had a good game last week vs. P2, but there's no shame in letting him have a good day.  he is probably the best WR in the game (the old, "you can't stop him, you can only hope to contain him" dan patrick line goes here).

Saints will be a test.  Breakfast football for the Redbirds.  10AM arizona time.  line was I think 9, last i checked, which seems pretty damn high.

Saints have the chance to go to 3-0 with a win, whereas a cards win puts us at 2-1. like my chances!

The Cardinals need an offensive line. They also need to believe they can win. Oh and they need to convince everyone else of this, too.

Oh, I had thought Manning also had 3--I hadn't realized that he threw a 4th pick.  Well, it's a close race, then--I don't know who wins that one.

i posted the numbers yesterday where in 2013, he has 7INTS.  last year he had i think 16 total, the year before i think 18.  so through two games, he's already almost halfway reached his last two year's totals.

that's just Eli being Eli.

That ranking seems awfully generous to all the teams in the NFC Least, who went 0-4 at the weekend. Even the winners of week 1's in-division games didn't look very good.

My Redskins looked completely inept in every stage of the game (even down to a punter who couldn't keep the ball in-bounds), so you can't put all of the blame on RGIII who is in full pre-season form.

The Racists biggest problem is their defense. They played two very good offenses to start the season, but you can't expect to win games when you give up 30+ every week. Especially when your QB has had his 2 ACLs repaired 3 times.
