This just in: If you actually listen to what comes out of a teenagers mouth, it is brain meltingly stupid. Multiply by 20 for rich teenagers.

2013-09-17 11:30:15 AM
Yes it's stupid. He's the privileged home schooled son of Scientologist parents. Lots of teenagers say stupid stuff, the press just doesn't report it the way they do when it's a celebrity. Leave him alone and maybe he will go away. Hopefully.

I didn't realise Will Smith was a scientologist. So we're going to see, in a few years, a complete meltdown of this hugely spoiled child because of a lack of education, poor upbringing, and a lack of talent, giving him no crutch to lean on when times are tough, and Xenu doesn't come by for visits.

Nowhere NEAR the "stupidest tweet ever". Just stupid.

The academy used "study-tech," a teaching method created by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, something to which Will Smith alluded on "Live with Regis and Kelly" in 2007.

There are "powerful educational concepts that we believe in," Smith said on the show.

Wouldn't that be "Study Tech", and "Powerful Educational Concepts That We Believe In (capital comma)"?

I'm Not Sure That The Educational Method Is Working For Young Jaden.

*sigh*  He's a Scientologist.  I'd hoped the Smiths were not, but they are.

It is one thing to say there is some merit in everything, it's another to be influenced by anything.  Scientology views selfishness and manipulation as virtues, despite any self serving charity work they do.

Yeah, I get ALL of my life lessons from a 15 year old.

You know what, though? Even the Republicans aren't this stupid. It's only the Scientologists who believe we have some kind of racial intelligence built in that only needs the right "conditions" to emerge. I wonder when Will is going to officially come out of the Scientology closet anyway?

I probably said some stupid shiat like that when I was his age, too.  Teenager say stupid things.  There just happened to be no Twitters when I was young.

Welcome to Earf.

Threadjack!  What's weird to me about the "Earf" meme is that Will Smith over-enunciates the "th" in "Welcome to Earth".  It makes the meme sound rather racist, frankly.

What do you expect from a kid named Jaden?

2013-09-17 12:36:23 PM
Whether we're talking about a rich & famous teenager or one from your own neighborhood, this is what happens when you raise your children believing they are special little balls of awesome that are smarter, more insightful, and more important than everyone else.  In this way, Jaden Smith is no different than John Q. Public's 15-year-old daughter who also has a Twitter and says the same inane shiat.

Although Jaden Smith has the extra-added bonus of being a Scientologist, which makes his inane shiat even more inane in comparison.

I don't fault him so much as other people making a big deal out of what a teenager is saying. If everything I said when I was 15 was publicized I would have been lynched, mocked by the entire planet, or castrated to ensure I didn't breed. Possibly all three.

That being said, he's an idiot.

Ahh to be the privileged progeny to have been created from wealthy sperm and a famous egg....

Also it's rule of thumb that the majority of all advice given out from people under 25 is not their advice to begin with, it's advice that they've simply regurgitated from either some book they read or some adult they hold in high regard until they know better.

Memorising long lists of arbitrary information will not make you more smart, or more stupid; neither will walking out of the memorisation building.

If you are smart, however, you will not buy in to the nonsense that the list of prescribed info is an a priori good in-itself.

The only way you could conclusively say 'stupidest tweet ever' would be if Twitter was wiped off the face of the Earth after said 'tweet'. Until then, there will be many, MANY stupidest tweets EVAR.
