No way, man. That's just not Putin's style.

In the next few weeks there will be a few tragic (but spectacular) industrial "accidents" at a few critical European energy infrastructure sites.  Meanwhile several key government officials will come down with polonium poisoning.

Europe will get the message and back off.

No need for a big,  messy, expensive war.

/Putin is a straight up Bond-type villain
