I'm pretty sure them's blasphemous words 'round these parts...

That's kind of neat and all, but it's no clown sweater.

That's not the sweater you are looking for.

Yeah, I moved from he is cool to he is a douchebag camp. He seems to me to be a lot like the actual deucebag charater he plays as in the guild in real life.

Personally, I like him for being an active member of the nerd community.  I figure if I had the public spotlight on me as much as he does, I'd come across as a pretty big douche sometimes too.

Also, disappointed it wasn't the clown sweater.

Gee, I wonder if Cadet Joshua Albert would have liked such a nice sweater. But I guess we'll never know.
I can only imagine that the one pictured here reeks of the guilt of the failed Kolvoord Starburst maneuver that killed him.

Y'know what I do when I see a headline that doesn't interest me?  I click on it and yell how cool I am that I don't care about it ignore it.

You know that fan took the sweater home and just put it on and rolled around on his bed, smelling the Wesleyness of it.

Not I didn't! I took it home and put it in a blender with some ice and milk to make a CrusherSmoothie! Now he's forev... er, um, no, I had nothing to do with any of this. I'm a perfectly normal rational human being. Mom and my psychologist both said so!

/Would make a smoothie joke about the other Crusher on the show but I'm probably the only person who didn't think she was particularly hot

Yeah, if someone was telling me a story about this article at the bar I'd walk away.

Also Wheaton, will you put out the latest episode of Tabletop already!

He comes across as a bit smarmy at times plus he used to be a regular here until ragequit because people kept trolling him.

What spotlight? He's a B rate actor at best, he gets bit parts and voice over work on the odd TV show now and then. The only place I ever see him mentioned is here on Fark.

Douchebag or not, he's a pretty bad actor.  It was excusable when he was a teenager and the writers had no idea what to do with him.  Now it is just painfully obvious that he doesn't bring a whole lot to the table.

When you look at the record of most child actors, he's doing just fine not having forged scrips and ODd so far.

Leave Wil Wheaton alone!

So, anybody else here still able to fit into their clothes from 1987?

/Actually, I do have a few shirts and sweaters I can still wear from back then.
//Of course, they were huge when I bought them because that was the fashion at the time.

Whatever. I've never heard him badmouth Fark, but I can see why he wouldn't want to spend time around people who randomly call him a douchebag for no reason.

I must be getting mellow/senile, in that I'm willing to cut a C-lister a little slack for enjoying his tiny, annoying part in a much larger....enterprise.

Also, I happen to enjoy the Wheaton-as-prick trope in BBT.

Nope.  He's just fit into a sweater he originally wore at 16, and he's now 30-something.  Yes, his face has widened, but his neck hasn't changed at all.  Were I that I was so lucky!

/200lbs now
//150lbs @16

You would think a guy who spends money on a hollywood sweater could spend $500 on a decent SLR :)

Great memories though, and that's awesome.

Yes.

[CSB]
I pick a pair of jeans from the store shelf and head for the cash.  My wife asks "aren't you going to try them first?"  I reply: "Honey, I've worn the same size of jeans since 1985.  Unless Levi's has decided that a 32" waist no longer means 32" waist, I'm ok."

He also goes to a lot of comic and gaming conventions.  Between the TV stuff and public appearances, that's one heck of a lot more attention than most nerds get.
