Apparently a handshake and photo op is needed for everything.

Here's our report on the use of chemical weapons to kill civilians in Damascus.
Okay, now turn this way for the cameras. Hold that handshake. Smile!

Nerve gas could be a stretch.
Maybe the inspectors have never seen twerking or the harlem shake before.
It's new to them, dammit!

So, Obama's shewn the World, terrorists and al-Qaida that his threats are empty and he'll allow crimes against humanity that he previously said would cross a "red line."

Obama's made the USA look weak.

Defending Saddam? Really? Don't get me wrong there are very good logical reasons (primarily financial) for us not removing SH from power, but let's not pretend "because he wasn't a murdering thug bastard" is one of them. The biggest irony is that the Syrians got the gas from Saddam in the first place.

I believe the UN inspectors stated it's not their job to determine who fired it.

Sometimes you kill thousands with the chemical weapons you have and not the chemical weapons you wished you had.

Not defending Hussein.  I agree with everything you wrote.   Obama is walking down the same path with Syria that we previously trod with Iraq.

Yes, since Syria sent troops to fight against Iraq in the first Gulf War and is the ally of Iraq's enemy Iran I'm sure Saddam was very eager to help Syria.

And I'm sure all those precursor chemicals Syria bought were just for show and were never used.

Hmm, you mean the action recently declassified documents showed was financially backed by a republican administration, because it was convenient at the time?  Surely that's identical to what happened here.  I'm sure you can back up that assertion.

It's funny because now it's looking like the deal with be Russia works with Syria to confirm the chemical precursors get destroyed or removed and in return Russia gives them some sweet sweet deals on anti-aircraft weapons and increased fuel and tank support logistics which in turn Assad will obviously use against the rebels. Meanwhile we will continue to use the CIA and increasingly the DoD with green berets to help train and arm Syrian rebels using weapons purchase through funds funded from Qatar and Saudi entities.

I'm an Obama support but really......how and the hell can we not call this one giant farking fark up?
