I cannot believe she ever went anywhere in politics after the Aqua Teen Hunger Force debacle. WTF, Massachusetts?

2013-09-16 01:47:03 PM
Martha, my dear, though I spend my days in conversation, please....don't do this....you suck.

2013-09-16 01:51:57 PM
How does one reach this level of politics? Who gives this woman money to run for these things? I'm assuming the Mass Dems have a pretty good organization up there full of smart people, so why doesn't anyone pull her aside and tell her not to run because she's a massive fark up waiting to happen? Seriously, she's the Carly Fiorina of Mass politics.

I thought this woman's political aspirations were over after her senate "run".

Why would she think this is a good idea?  I thought she hated campaigning.

Me too. She's a terrible political hack. I hope she loses badly and retires from the public life.

I hope not... No one who belongs to the GOP should be rewarded with an election victory. It's a disgusting party of ignorant, regressive assholes.

Of all the folks declared at the moment, I think I like Grossman so far.

I hope she loses the primary.  She's an electoral disaster waiting to happen.

Oh god, she's awful. I can walk down the street in Boston and find a better candidate than her. Maybe that dude you plays reggae songs in the Commons. He seems pretty smart.

You're down on the south coast, I think...? How are people leaning there these days?  I'm on the south shore and this place has gone right in the last ten years or so.

Cities like Fall River, New Bedford are solidly democrat, but the wealthier suburbs heading towards the Cape are more right leaning... Not many folks are falling for the "moderate republican" crap around here, anyway. Had one of those running in the 6th Bristol recently and he lost.

Perpetual loser Sean Bielat?

Lol... No.

Local republican dentist, Steinhof.

haaaaaaa, goddamn, I was so happy when Kennedy won. Bielat ran as a democrat in NY and lost. I could not convince my father of this though. Even after his usual "carpetbagger" rant about Warren.

I'm shocked Gomez isn't running yet. He's been thinking of doing it, maybe Baker scared all the other GOPers off. I fear the same will happen with Chokley

From my understanding, she's got the money generating power that the party loves here. That's probably the only redeeming factor for her in the eyes of the state party.

I grossman? (whoever the treasurer is) is probably the best shot at the primary. Chokley has name recognition but not the kind that will get her elected

Hopefully Jill Stein will run.  She's gotten much better as a speaker and a candidate since her previous disastrous attempts at the governors seat.

Are there any other Dems running? Anyone?

I thought so also. Didn't she refuse to do basic things like shake hands and chat around Fenway in 2010?

She and the Mayor of Slummerville extorted two million from Williams Street for the hysteria. Nice change.

No farkin' way she makes it through the primaries.  If she does it will be from Republican sabotage.

When asked by a reporter why she wasn't doing more to win Kennedy's seat, she said,"What do you want me to do, Stand out in front of Fenway Park at a Red Soxs game and shake hands?"

That right there sealed her fate.

2013-09-16 08:17:43 PM
WHY?  Why would anyone allow this woman to run again?  She already threw away a Senate seat through her incompetence.

If she's good at raising money then fine, have her do that and/or find some nice appointment for her.  But don't risk a major elected position with her.

2013-09-16 09:43:16 PM
fark this noise. I'll run against her.

Please do, I'd love a fark party at the Governor's mansion.

The Brown/Coakley race was the first local race that I paid attention to since I registered to vote up here, and despite voting D in every election, Brown was the first R vote I ever cast.

I will NEVER vote for Coakley, even if Mittens decides he wants another go

"Interesting" tag being used here in lieu of the admittedly non existent "cunning plan" tag?

How much green beer does one need to consume to consider this idea as being even remotely feasible?

2013-09-17 11:38:14 AM
But guys, IT'S HER TURN!  Don't you get it?  SHE'S PAID HER DUES!

Anyone remember her commercial about how we need to crack down on internet users to protect children?

As a blue-blooded Massachusetts Democrat, I will NEVER vote for this awful waste of humanity.

I can understand not voting for that particular race, but voting for a Republican senator?

Because of her incompetence, a Republican nude model was elected senator in one of the most liberal states in the country.
