It amazes me that people would rather wait 2 hours standing around a crowded subway station rather than just walk. It should only be about 4 miles. I think the weather was really nice that day too.

I think this particular conductor was on one of the trains stuck in the tunnel. If you're on a train when the power goes, it's not like you can get off and start hiking through the tunnel. But yeah, at a station? I'm hoofing it unless I'm carrying a large load or something (which you shouldn't do on the tube anyway)
