Well, what with the aging population, we'll be seeing more of these amusing "senior moments".
Senility is communicable, you know. You can get it just from being around us old farts.

I guess prison would be an alternative to waiting 10 more years for SS to kick in.  His food, medical, utilities will be taken care of at least till he hits 67 more than likely.

There're times when it's best to leave the keys in the car. Times like this, for example. And for petes sake, don't lock the doors.

Until you run out of the bank and find some thief has stolen your car.

Is it really worth the risk to rob a bank (I mean, if you're already devoted to a life of crime.) Seems like the risk of getting caught is quite high, is the reward usually that much more than holding up a convenience store or hotel or something like that? Don't tellers only hold a small amount of cash now to limit robberies?

Yes, but if you decide to take the enormous risk of robbing a bank, you have accept the smaller risks as well. Go big or go home.

The murder simulator Payday 2 taught me that you have to kill all the tellers and the guard in the security room.  Then you can zip tie everyone else in the bank and haul off 500k without the cops coming.

It's a bank, there's a lot of cash onhand. The problem is they have a lot of alarms and robbing one is automatic fed involvement. Yes the reward is huge but the chances of getting away with it are far smaller. Rob convenience stores but obvious chain ones. Never a Mom N Pop. Those tend to have an owner behind the counter W a gun.

I didn't know all that many people rob banks anymore. Successfully anyway.

There was a story about something like that happening recently, I think in Brazil -- the guy robs a grocery store, comes out to find his car stolen, and then as he's standing around trying to figure out what to do, he gets mugged for all the loot he stole from the store.  Then he calls the cops.
