ultraholland: if anyone wants to join, we're gonna smoke some trout under the bleachers at halftime.

I don't like subjecting others to my second-hand smoke, so I've switched to chewing mackerel, instead.

Ah, the bizarre problems caused by modern processing methods.

She found workers had high exposure to the fish particles, and attributes this to the filleting machines and high-pressure cleaning jets casting particles into the air.

Maybe old methods are the best.

Fun fact: herring swim in large schools. To confuse and avoid predators, they will release a stream of bubbles at regular intervals to create a bubble cloud, kind of a primitive cloaking device. These bubbles are called Frequent Repetitive Ticks, or FRTs.

Ichthyologists have a sense of humor.
