I like how the Boobies from last week had a bunch of predictions and all of them were wrong.

Since it looks like Hank is a gonner, I'm going to go with Marie getting the kids and the money.  Maybe we think Walt is about to croak, but we see him in the Mexican desert getting a lung transplant.

What if...no one dies

I'm not saying it's LIKELY (sign me up with everyone that says Hank is a gonner and/or Gomie), but still, it's a thought.

A Glock and an 870 vs. an AA12, a belt fed GPM and at least one long gun isn't very appealing odds it must be said, although the Hollywood cliche of a car providing cover against a machine gun is still alive and well, so who knows?

Exactly. And, it's "Breaking Bad". We know by now that what we THINK might happen is most likely to be the thing that WONT happen.

Hank gets shot, yet again :) the man is a bullet sponge.

Someone in that shoot-out is probably wearing a bullet-proof vest.  Saul had one on last week, didn't he?  That was probably a clue that we should expect someone else to be wearing one now.

2013-09-15 10:15:19 AM
We've already seen the Nazi's efficiently kill a bunch of dudes with guns, if this shootout keeps going all A-Team I won't be able to suspend my disbelief anymore. Hank and Gomie should have been red mist before they even got a shot off.

Unless they are wearing Type III or IV, body armor won't do jack shiat against a 7.62 caliber MG.

A lot of people were complaining last week that they were firing at each other from nearly point blank. I don't know where that came from. There was one aerial shot that looked to me like they were 50 - 60 yards apart. It isn't nuts that you could miss from that range.

Human sized target at 50 yds standing still in the open is pretty much point blank for a long gun of any type, much less a squad automatic weapon. And we know those guys can shoot, since they wiped out those dudes for Lydia with zero problems and that was a much more balanced firefight.

Gomez dies. Hank and Jessie end up captives of the White Power Superfriends. Flash-forward Walt bought the gun in an attempt to rescue them.

2013-09-15 10:32:37 AM
From the redlit thread:

Going with the absorption theory:
Walt has a limp in the same leg as Hank does/did in the flash forward. Now, he could get this from the shootout (and probably does) but in order for the symbolism to work, Hank will have to die by his hands. I'm thinking that Hank survives the shootout with the Nazis, but with such overwhelming firepower, they probably just capture him there. Walt explains who he is and why they shouldn't kill him and they force him to put Hank down. Jesse isn't dead by the flash-forwards so Walt isn't wearing/doing anything related to Jesse which will mean that either the nazis use him to cook or use him as ransom. Skyler dies later in this episode, possibly from a mad Marie.

I dunno, I don't think I can predict anything happening with any sense of accuracy, but I'm sure that Hank will die by Walt's hand.

For those who don't know the absorption theory: Everyone who Walt specifically kills, he gains one trait/quirk from them.
Crazy 8: cuts crusts off his own sandwiches
Gus: Uses towel to kneel on when vomiting
Mike: starts drinking bourbon on the rocks
Gus's men who he ran over to save Jesse: Using children(Brock)

Hasn't happened yet but alluded to in Flash Forwards:
Skyler: Bacon in the shape of "52" for his birthday
Hank: Limp in the same leg as he's walking out of his car to his dilapidated house

Shostie: Gomez dies. Hank and Jessie end up captives of the White Power Superfriends. Flash-forward Walt bought the gun in an attempt to rescue them.

I'm betting it's the same gun that the Nazis are using right now. But I agree that Gomez is killed/seriously wounded left to die and some combo of Hank/Walt/Jessie get captured.

2013-09-15 10:48:43 AM
Since Walt buried the money, I've been nursing an idea of a Fargo-like conclusion in which everyone who has any inkling that a large sum of money might be buried out there will end up dead. Of course, one would expect a few extra layers of stuff added to that, and the way it plays out is open at this point to limitless possibilities, but that's the main thrust of it.

In that context, this would be an opportune time to get rid of Hank and Gomie, since the writers went to such great pains to establish that they're the only DEA people who know about all this so far. If they survive this gunfight, they're going to be filing detailed reports.

I toyed with some sort of Treasure of the Sierra Madre-type conclusion, like for about twelve seconds, but scattering money all over the ground isn't as nearly disastrous as scattering gold dust all over the ground.

2013-09-15 10:54:23 AM
I don't really have any predictions, because all of my predictions are wrong. But I've gotta believe that something more will happen with Brock. There are precious few minutes left in this series, and they spent quite a few of those precious minutes setting up Walt's plan to flush Jesse out last episode, only to have Hank nix the plan in about 3 seconds. It makes me think Jesse is alive. The skinheads know Brock means something to him, they know where Brock lives now, etc.

So, I guess I am making a prediction of sorts. Now, take it to the bank that nothing resembling that will happen since I never get these things right.

Todd was seen putting a vest on before going out to the desert.

VG: I think these last three episodes, not to overstate it, and you could say this about the last eight, but with these last three in particular you need to install a seat belt on your sofa, you need to wear a crash helmet and a diaper. [laughs] I tell ya, this next episode (entitled "Ozymandias"), I think for my money, is the best episode we ever had had or ever will have. It was written by Moira Walley-Beckett and directed by Rian Johnson.   (my emphasis)

Today's going to be farking great. I think Hank and Gomie die (along with the third neo-nazi), Jesse and Walt are taken hostage and forced to cook, Walt escapes, and Saul's vacuum cleaner guy gets a call, leading to the flash-forward.

Since this seems to be the consensus I think its a safe bet that Jessie dies, and Hank and Gomez get forced to cook for the Nazis. Walt comes in M60 blazing to rescue Hank and avenge Jessie.

/not really

Walter didn't kill Gus.

2013-09-15 11:46:21 AM
Okay, for a serious, non-specific prediction:

Given the title, I expect the first thing we get is a flash forward to after all the action is resolved. Walt may be alive at that point, he should be, I think, but I'm guessing the flash forward will show all his labors wiped away: the money, family, everything he cared about is gone.

sure he did. he flipped the switch when he got the signal from Hector

2013-09-15 11:54:44 AM

Since it hasn't been posted yet:

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away

So.... opening flash forward of some empty 55 gallon barrels scattered in the desert?
