I like how the solution to the throttle linkage hitting the hood is to grind the linkage as opposed to the hood. World class engineering there!

I don't know if I want people to start associating my show with something that looks like a lot of peoples pets mangled and lying in a pool of it's own blood. I'm not cool like those guys though, my day is definitely more mundane. That sounds exhausting, just constantly putting blowers into things and challenging people about their daily activities.

I just dropped $250 on drum brake parts for my truck. Thank the gods Chevy decided that Drums were superior to discs in the rear end.

The early 4 disc truck brake systems were a disaster way beyond tried and proven drum technology.

It's not a Jaguar. It's a Jaguar body with a Chevy motor in it.

Putting a blower on a 90's era Chevy pickup doesn't have the same OMG! factor.

I need to find a way to implement the Jaguar business model. AKA how to sell rich people junk by convincing them it's actually a status symbol.

Hey I have a Jaaaaag with a blower bolted to it! Came that way from the factory! They are sweet cars and can be bought cheap you just have to avoid having aholes like me fixing it. Entertaining link, thanks subby.

Oh, it's about a car.  That's disappointing.

I quite like the Roadkill series.  It's like Top Gear, but with guys who can actually fix their own cars.

If you read back through the thread, most people assumed this was a BSDM thread. So, I'm just helping out.

It's about Jaguars AND wrong-make engine swaps. If that isn't the definition of sadomasochism then I don't know what is...

/at least Jaguar wasn't Whitworth by that point

Congratulations, hot rodders or whatever the hell you guys are supposed to be. You took a topic in which I had no interest: modding for no good reason the best car unionized British labour could assemble in the mid-70s...and made me waste 20 minutes on it.

I think they won me over by cooling their Frankenmotor with car washing. That and the fact that they carried off a pretty slim concept for an episode with panache.

I found where the original engine from the Jag went.

I've got 4 discs on my '01 SIlverado, and aside from having to replace the rear rotors and E-brake shoe on the first brake job, they've been fine.  I'd much rather deal with replacing the disc pads/rotors then have to screw with springs and adjusters.

Curious: i'm generally not a fan of farking up old cars just for giggles but a blown Jag certainly is different.

It was already farked up by the person who lumped it with a SBC.  Anyone who says they did an engine swap in a Jag to make it more reliable doesn't know what the hell they're doing.

I too expected that, I was fully anticipating a DIY BDSM kit thread/article.  Instead I get a bunch of yanks who don't appear to know what they are doing ripping apart an old Jag.
