Do they *really* need to do driver intros at a time like this?

Bonus point to the #37 Jet-Dryer for most laps led today.

What, and miss the Greek chorus of the crowd booing at the beginning? How else will we know when Kyle walks out?

Jensaarai: News is he turned down an offer to go Indycar racing with Andretti. Rumors are now pointing towards him staying in NASCAR, with Furniture Row being the name most commonly thrown around.

I hope that's true.

Hey...some of us dropped enough acid in our teens we're suprised we remember our *own* names.

The canine and equine presentation must go on. Tradition and all that.

To kill time, ESPN should call a race between the Jet Dryers and Air Titan.

Throw in JPM for that, and I think we've got a winner!

A young singer who does a straight ahead version of the national anthem? I didn't think they existed.

JPM Recipe Makers

1 dryer
liberal amounts of rain
1 42 racecar.

Apply rain to track. Slowly stir in dryer. As dryer is mixing in, add 42 race car. Shield eyes from fire. Serves thousands.

Let's see those lightweight, high downforce open wheel guys try it on an oval before we ask the big heavy low downforce guys to make a go of it.

This delay has given me plenty of time to do my GoPro software updates, so I've got that going for me.

I think the wives should dress up like the F1 umbrella girls in these rain situations. Keep focusing on em ESPN

The rain sucks, but given what Helton did this week, do we even need to run the race to know who won?

Why not just ask Helton who he deems the winner so we can get on with our Sunday?

This new NASCAR sure will free up the weekends!

If I remember correctly, The Great Brian Barnhart tried to make the IRL do it once. Major driver protests ensued. That man should never be allowed near a race track.

I just wish they had shown them.  I wanted to see hear the boos for Bowyer and am curious what the reactions would be to Truex, Gordon, Newman, Logano, and Vickers.

Any young singer given a big stage. Whether they won a TV show or not. It's so rare to see one who is on pitch, and isn't warbling painfully. No ego, nailed the song. Kudos to her.

Trying to restart Indycar on slicks at a damp New Hampshire gave us the most iconic meme in recent Indycar history. It was, afterall, Barnhart who was the target of Will Power's double bird, when the TV cameras just happened to be on him from a distance.

omg thank you for caring, it was pleasure until the second week, when you realize you're tired of driving. Anyway, drove the Dempster up to Inuvik, NWT. Visited Fairbanks, AK along the way, and in retrospect would not have done so.

But anyway, thinking Nevada next year. Have car, will travel.

Sounds beautiful!  Yeah, Nevada is the anti-AK.  I an envious of people who live in places where green is a color of the landscape instead of felt.

One of those actors didn't seem to be giving 100% during the command to start.  ESPN has fined Chicago Fire $20,000 and 2 rating points.

I don't get the digital ban. Trust me on this, with analog radios and that many different channels you're going to get bleed over somewhere which is a nightmare. I usually spend practice days at the track resetting radio repeaters and entire channels. Think about it, at least 43 channels for the cars, and track workers need a dozen at the VERY LEAST.

I'm hoping we can afford the digital upgrade for next season. We're getting a new communications building and all new equipment. We've really been doing a hell of a job using old gear so even if it's an analog upgrade we'll be a million miles ahead of where we are now. Only one more race with the old stuff, World Superbikes. Then we get a sledgehammer party!

End thread jack.
