And since NASCAR has been under a black cloud all week, there is a 70-80% chance of rain this afternoon.

Mother Nature, please quit giving 100% today so we can race.

Mike Helton has to be pleased with the weather today, after all, Mother Nature is giving 100%...rain.

No need for NASCAR to explain the new restart rule because they won't even be starting today.

Real confident about no race today, huh?

I can see him not getting out of the pits in under 20 seconds...

For 2 tires and gas...

If Tony was smart they would swap pit crews for the chase. Not like Martin needs a championship caliber pit crew to change his tires and refill his ensure bottle

I've been glued to NASCAR news all week because I was so impressed by their governing body one day then absolutely disgusted with it the next

They need to look at this race as make or break in regards to putting all this stupidity behind them

Best case? Clear race and the 48 wins

Worst case? Drama, payback wrecks, rain delays, monkey dry humping a gas can, and Joey logano wins after his dad writes Brian France another check

Leader controls start in restart zone. Then the green waves. Second place then can beat leader to line.

@jeff_gluck
New restart rule: No. 2 driver CAN beat the No. 1 driver to the line. Still using restart zone.

Technically he is supposed to surrender the position back to the leader...

Unless the leader spins his tires or Carl Edwards is in 2nd and NASCAR needs him to do a backflip for ratings

I have nothing but respect for you JJ fans.  As a Busch brother fan, I've taken my share of flack, but it's all in good fun.  It's the Gordon fans who've irritated me this week.  Not necessarily any of the ones on Fark, but some of them on twitter and other places have been insufferable this week.

It's strange, nobody seems to be a fan of the guy. How can you win 5 championships and have no fans? I've won auctions for autographed memorabilia dirt cheap, and watched Kurt Busch's stuff go for more. So I'll enjoy my Christmas ornaments and hat ($20 total).

It's sad, too. My experience with Farkers who root for Gordon has rarely been anything but positive. And that subreddit is usually a fairly good spot for news when there's no Fark thread. But this week... yikes.

Oh well, nothing's really gone right in the sport or the fandom this week, heh. I'm ready to put it behind us. I'm just going to do my best to ignore the Chase and have fun watching the races/reading comments complaining about commercials like the good old days from all of 2 weeks ago.
