Technically, they are delivering the vaccination by vaccinating humans.  So they are really just vaccinating humans.  The mosquitoes get vaccinated as a side effect.

Great, now even more folk can die of the next biggest cause of death for jungle dwellers?? Now even more folk can produce a multitude of children that can starve do death? Seems like malaria was a solution.

People have large families in response to high childhood death rates. When death rates go down, so does the number of children the typical family has. This has been seen over and over again and is not at all in doubt. Reducing the unpredictability of children living to be adults reduces the birthrate faster than the increase in population from those people not dying.

Like quinine, that ship has sailed as far as malaria control is concerned.

The problem with that well established fact is that societal norms don't change that fast. There will be still a few generations of large (but increasingly less so) families in famine stricken areas. Because those children will still be dying of starvation, there will still be a "need" for large families in the unconscious mind. That is what you did, try and out breed whatever is killing the children. Ethiopia still has 5.3 children per woman. As does Congo. Both countries are famous for the periodic famines they get to endure. Having fewer children would mean more food per child and a better chance of not getting one of dozens of illnesses native to those parts because they have a more robust immune system. Yet they are still trying to out breed children dying from hunger.
