Bieber would make a great Robin. We're talking about one of the universes where Robin is a female, right?

There have been girl Robins before.

2013-09-14 12:06:48 PM
Maybe they can finally put the realism back into batman with Bieber - this would be a good thing for batman purists - because batman really was a cheesy comic.

Burt Ward would/could/should snap Bieber's neck.

Is this the one where the Joker beats Robin to death with a crowbar and then blows the building up?

Cuz I can get behind that one....

It's why I still like the Burton Batman movies.

Nolan's were just sophomoric exercises in facile philosophizing with mediocre filmmaking and a growly-bear Batman.

As a connoisseur of Internet butt hurt, I only have one thing to say:

Bring it!

Bieber soiling the overwrought batman franchise would be the greatest thing ever.

2013-09-14 01:01:18 PM
Bieber would actually make a totally hateable, punchable villain.
Imagine him as say, the Riddler.... there would literally be a standing ovation in the theater at the last big fight scene when his face finally meets the toe of Batman's boot...

2013-09-14 01:09:32 PM
They could make him the first victim of Zsasz.

I could live with that

Great movie. And it had the actor that I thought should have just been cast as Batman voicing the Red Hood. Also added awesomeness, NPH as Night Wing.

Bieber seems like enough of an asshole to be a decent Jason Todd. Plus maybe he gets beaten with a crowbar and blown up. It could be worse.

Thank you! Finally!

I'd say all superhero comics that take themselves seriously are cheesy.

I still don't understand this reboot. They wrapped up the last trilogy with Batman getting his secret cave and a Robin. Plus they can't do a reboot and retain Morgan Freeman.

Posts like this make me laugh. Begins is easily the best of the three, easily. It's more focused, has the least amount of plot holes, is most grounded in "reality" (which was the point of these movies), and Bale's performance is the best as well.
Saying it was "ok" is like saying meh Mozart is ok, all you're missing is a C Major scale.

sure haven't: has the least amount of plot holes

the weapon IS a plot hole.  vaporizes all water, eh?  except for those fleshy bags of water walking around, eh.  don't get me wrong.  I love Nolan's Bat-trilogy, but Batman Begins is weak and they really should have used a better villain and is the main reason that The Dark Knight Rises is also weak - tying back to the first movie.  The Dark Knight being so damn good is the only reason lots of people have even SEEN Batman Begins.

I said least amount, not none amount.

I'd rather have one big one, than the dozens of ones in TDK.

Your last sentence tells me you're what... 17? 14? Begins was a breakthrough, a game changer. It made Batman "real". Without its success, you would've never had the sub-par TDK.

That's explained in the movie.  From imdb: "If the microwave emitter really evaporates all water in the vicinity, in theory it should also kill everyone standing near it, as human bodies consist mostly of water. However, it is mentioned earlier in the film that the emitter uses "focused microwaves" specifically designed to target an enemy's water supply. For the safety of those operating it, the device was presumably designed only to affect water at certain levels of pressure. "

I am 41 and honest about what was a weak film that did ok but didn't set the world on fire.  It set the stage for the far superior film that followed.  The biggest hole in TDK is that there just is now way the Joker could have planned all of that shiat and had it happen exactly as it did, but that is just movie magic.

look at it this way - Superman Returns did about equal what Batman Begins did at the box office, and is considered a failure that failed to re-establish a franchise.  Fact is tho that people just love the shiat out of Batman - so Nolan got his second chance, and farking DELIVERED.

2013-09-14 03:44:55 PM
You know, I hope this is real. It makes the Ben Affleck casting make sense. It would actually be awesome if they were intentionally making a movie to troll comic fans. All we need now is the announcement Taylor Lautner is playing Superman, and we're all set.

2013-09-14 04:13:54 PM

frepnog: but that is just movie magic.

Plot hole in Begins is retarded, but plot hole in the one you like is just *shrugs* omgz movie magic!

Got it. Good talk.

frepnog: so Nolan got his second chance, and farking DELIVERED.

and lol @ you thinking that TDK was some sort of redemption for him. Like I said above, Begins changed things. It became "real" for the first time ever. It was a collective "holy sh*t, this is a new game". the Batman presented in Begins was better. A shadow, a mystery. An unfailing symbol that cleaned things up.

In TDK they fell into the trap of making the bad guy seem badass by making him better than the good guy. Batman walks through rooms of thugs, but can't even best Joker in a single fistfight. He's two steps behind him the entire film, we never see Batman actually overcome Joker. He's always reacting, instead of anticipating and overcoming him. And at the end of it all, there's some forced plot device in which he's seen as the bad guy. It's a mess of a film, and pales in comparison to Begins. It's not an opinion, it's right there on paper. TDK is the fan favorite I know, but it's not even close to Begins.

Do you think if you stab people freaking Dasani comes out of their bodies? Yes, human bodies are made with water, but they're not water. It's mixed with a lot of stuff. And did you even watch the movie? They clearly explained that the device was a non-lethal weapon designed to wreck the enemy's water supply. I know people repeat that crap over and over because some blowhard on the Internet made a video/wrote a post about it, but doesn't make it true. People on the Internet love to exaggerate and misrepresent situations to make it easier to mock things. It's humour, not fact.
